A GRANDFATHER

1. What does it mean to be a grandfather?
   Statement:  I can surely tell you:
   The Lord has blessed me with 4 children
   One is in heaven-12 Grandchildren and Great-
   grand children 6 girls and 6 boys another
   one due in February.
   A. First, to be a grandfather, means
      responsibility
      1. Deut. 23:8
   B. Second, to be a grandfather means
      happiness and joy
      1. To be their when born
      2. To see their first steps
      3. Hear their first words
      4. To rock them to sleep
      5. Watch them grow
      6. Swing them in swings
      7. To be there at their birthdays
      8. Listen to their big big problems
      9. To hold their little hand
     10. To cry with them and laugh with them
     11. Tell them about Jesus
     12. Tell them Bible stories
     13. To take them to church
     14. It means to be there when baptised
     15. Take them camping
     16. Take them on trips to the ocean
     17. It means telling them that you love
         them and are proud of accomplishments
     18. It means to be there when they need
         support and help
   C. Third thing it means to be a grandfather
      is to hear the most precious words in
      this world:
      1. Papa I love you
