To reach cemetery as you are driving south on Hwy #3 from Rose Lake ID, turn east or left onto E. Lane Road. It is before you get to the meat packing place.

This cemetery appears to have started in the early 1900s, judging from the existing stones, and the last burial in 1996. The town of Lane is really all but gone. It has a few houses, couple businesses and the cemetery remaining.

It does not appear there has been much care for sometime to this cemetery. I was told that about once a year a few people get together and try to clean it out.

I noticed, as I surveyed it, there were spring flowers in clusters, throughout the cemetery, which leads me to believe there is someone buried in those areas, but there is no longer a marker for many of them.

Lane Cemetery has a fence around it plus a gate, both needing repaired. Entering it from the road is difficult. It requires crossing a spring and then directly uphill. I parked on the road.

Entries with an asterisk * are unmarked graves taken from a previous reading, which was done in the late 1940s. I read this cemetery on Apr 22, 2005.
