Take the bridge on the west side of Oroville and turn right or south after you cross onto hwy 97. Continue for one mile to Golden road, then another half mile and you will see the Riverview Cemetery on the left side of the road. This cemetery lies on a hill overlooking and abutting Riverview cemetery to the south.

This is not perpetual care and has been abandoned and left to overgrowth, plus several dead trees and other debris disposed of here, making it impossible to find all of the graves if a marker does exist.

As I update this I am told the name of this cemetery is Potter's Field. I did not know it's name when I first walked and read this cemetery. With it being so close to Riverview I gave it this name, after hearing many of the locals calling it that, when I asked what the name of it was.

All of those listed here are unplatted, meaning no one has kept a record of the places of the burials. This being true, it means no more burials can be made in this cemetery. The cemetery began about 1911.

The cemeteries in this area are under the jurisdiction of the Okanogan County Cemetery District #4, with the records being found in the office listed above.

Added info in 2004: I revisited this cemetery Jul 14, 2004 and found it had been cleaned out and the old stones dug up, so this reading reflects this. A sign says: "John Minyard cleaned and restored Potters Field and the Garden Club decorated it with donated silk flowers. Money and equipment for the costs were donated by American Legion, County Road Dept, Otid, Gold Digger Apples."

I have a photo of all existing stones which I will share. Those with an asterisk * I could not find a stone for, but are listed in the Sexton burial records.
