In the name of God Amen I Edward Nepecker of Pluckley in the County of Kent, Clothier being troubled with infirmity of body but of sound and perfect memory (praised be God therefore) doe make and ordaine this my last will and Testament in manner and forme following (that is to say)
first and principally I comend my soule into the hands of Almighty God hopeing through the merits, death and passion of my Saviour Jesus Christ to have full and free pardon and forgiveness of all my Sinnes and to inherit everlasting life And my body I comitt to the earth to be buried at ye discrecon of my Executors hereafter named and as touching the dispsicon [disposition] of all such temporall estate as it hath please God Almighty to bestow upon me I give and dispose thereof as followeth

first I will that my debts & funerall charges shall be paid and discharged
Item I give unto Anna my daughter and to Joanna an other daughter of mine one annuity or yearly rent of Twelve pounds a yeare betweene them lyeing at Godmersham bought of Mr. Richards and Mr. Chapman that is to say, Anna to have six pounds a yeare of that rents and Joanna the other six pounds a yeare rent and to their heires forever
As for my daughter Anna to receive the profits of six pounds a yeare after the day of her marriage or after my decease as the rents grow due and as for Joanna’s part the other six pounds a yeare to reseave the rents after the age of one and twenty yeares as the rents grow due

And I doe give to my daughter Anna Threescore and Tenn pounds of good and lawfull moneys to be paid to her within one yeare after my decease by my Executors
Item and I doe give to my daughter Joanna the sume of Threescore and Tenn pounds at the age of one and Twenty yeares of age to be paid by my Executors

Item I give to Sarah my youngest daughter one p[ar]cell of land lyeing att Pournds Hill, two pieces bought of Boughton with ye [ap]purtenances thereunto belonging to receive ye rents and profits at the age of one and Twenty yeares & to the heires of her body forever
Item I give to my daughter Sarah fourescore pounds of monyes to be paid to her at the age of one and Twenty yeares by mine Executors out of the stocke

Item I give to my eldest sonne John Nepecker one p[ar]cell of Marshlands containing 32 acres lyeing in Snave more 28 acres more of lesse with ye woodlands bought of Mr. Chrachewood and Mr, Grenwood lyeing at Shatherst [Shadoxhurst] and Warehorne
Item I give to my sonne John one parcell of lands called by the name of Wooulton, land & pieces of land and two houses, one barne & backsides or orchard that belongeth to them bought by me of Sir Edward Dering
I give more to John a hocke field containing 4 acres of lands bought by me of Solomon Oyly being in Throwley
Item I give one mortgage or analty [annuity] of Twelve pounds by the yeare to my sonne John it lyeing at Canterbury bought of ye two Somndrs [Sommers?] and theire heires

Item I give to my sonne Edward Nepecker the house and barne and Orchards and 3 peices of lands and one little orchard At Willmot Corner that his grandfather bought of Sir Edward Dering
Item I give more to my sonne Edward one parcell of lands called by the name of New lands, 3 peices by estimacon 30 acres more or lesse bought of Mr. Bothell by me lyeing in Pluckly
Item I give more to my sonne Edward one p[ar]cell of lands lyeing at Woodchurch and Kenerton [now Kenardington] knowne by the name of orkeing lands 4 peices by estimacon 36 acres more or lesse bought of Finch Dearing
Item I give more to my sonne Edward one peice of land of oldandnacres and a halfe acounted lyeing in Brenset on part of that land which I did bye of Mr. Grimdwod and Mr. Charcharod
I doe give more to my sonne Edward the two little houses and the backsides at Pluckley Street the w[hi]ch vart? I bought of my Brother John

Item I give to my loveing wife Mary after my decease the sume of Thirty pounds a yeare dureing her life if that shee continue a widd[ow] but if shee doe marry againe then after marriage to have and receive by fifteen pounds a yeare yearely dureing her life
And for the payment of her the said Mary my wife that now is after my decease to receive out of all the profitts of my two sonnes lands half yearely as to say fifteene pounds at the next rent day due of rents which shall come first at Michaelmas or Lady day after my decease And ye other fifteene pounds at the halfe yeare following according to the aforenamed sume of Thirtye pounds a yeare yearely dureing her being a widdowe
And for the payment of the said yearely rents to my said wife Mary it is in leiu of Jointure? or dower if shee bee soe pleased

I doe will my sonne John to pay out of the said Marsh lands and other lands that I doe give him by this my last will to pay to his mother the sum of Eighteene pounds a Yeare to be paid half yearely as aforesaid
If he ye said John or his heires shall neglect to pay to his mother such rents as is appointed it shall be lawfull for her to distraine and enter upon any parts of his said lands for the payment of her to maintain or rent due not paid within fourteene days after it shall grow due

I doe will my sonne Edward to pay out of the said houses and lands that lyeing at Pluckly and Throwley that I doe give him by this my last will to pay to his said mother the sum of Twelve pounds a yeare yearely to be paid that at two payments in the yeare (that is to say) vizt. at the end yt halfe yearely due as it shall grow due and the other six pounds at the other half yeare as it grows due yearely during her liveing a widd
It shall be lawfull for her or her assignes to destraine and enter upon the lands for the payment of her maintenance

Item it is my mind that my youngest sonne Edward shall have the profitts of the lands and housing after my decease and his grandmother paying such part out of it as is appointed for his mother Twelve pounds a yeare yearely before named dureing her life the rents and profitts of my sonne Edward to be reserved and taken up by his mother and his Brother John Nepecker to be acountable to him at the age of Twenty three yeares of age for such overplus as is not laid out for necessaryes

Item I doe appoint Mary my said wife and my eldest sonne John Nepecker to be Executors of this my will

Item I doe will that my daughter Elizabeth Adames shall have ye some of Threescore pounds of good monyes paid to her or her heires the which sumes of Threescore pounds I doe give to my daughter Adams to be paid out of the stocke by mine Executors wthin one yeare after my decease

Item I doe will yt [that] my daughter Mary Wilmot shall have ye sume of Threesocre pounds of monyes to be paid to her or her husband according to the condicon of a bond that they had of me to be paid to mine Executors if I live not to see it paid

Item it is my mind that if my two youngest daughters Joanna and Sarah shall have had ye profitts of the rents of that lands that I doe give them taken out by their mother and brother John Nepecker after my decease and to give account for what is not laid out for their necessaryes to them at the age of Twenty one yeares

I give to my Sister Shiling Twenty shillings to be paid five shillings per quarter after my decease, foure payments in one yeare quarterly if she live to reseive it and her dwelling thier where shee now liveth for Twenty shillings a yeare a[l]lowed her soe long as she liveth by my Executors and to remember the poore according to your disposeing mine Executors

Item I give one annually [annuity] or mortgage that I have out at Godfre Christmanes farm lyeing at Brabourne amongst my five daughters equally to be divided the profitt what will remaine the charges of law sett out by mine Executors or paid to such as follows the customary receave of it and ye rents or arreares that is behind
