In the name of God Amen the twenty second day of February in the twenty and eight yeare of the Reigne of our Soveraigne Lord Charles the Second by the grace of God of England Scotland France and Ireland King defender of the faith etc. and in the year of our Lord God 1677
I John Nepecker of Pluckly being in good and perfect minde and memory thankes bee given to Almighty God doe make & ordaine this my present Testament and will and if I dye unmarryed in manner and form following
First I bequeath my soule into the hands of my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ and my body to bee buried in Christian buriall by my Executor

and I desire my brothers and sisters a Ring of gold to each of them one and to John Noney and Mary Cruttwell each of them a ringe of gold to the value of ten or twelve shillings a peece
to be provided by my Executor at my funerall and gloves as they thinke fit
And I do give to the Ringer at Pluckley tenn shillings for to ring at my funerall and to every widow that is poore in the parish of Pluckley I do give one shilling apeece to the value of thirty shillings at my funerall or in short time after

Item I do give unto my loving Mother all that parcell of land which I have in the Marsh in the parish of Snave so long as she shall live in lieu of her dowry if she please to except [accept] of it
Item I do give unto my Sister Elizabeth wife of Thomas Adams one parcell of lands that I have at Shadoxherst with the appurtntes [appurtenances] thereunto belonging at the end of one whole year after my decease to her and her heires of her body

Item I give unto Mary my Sister wife of Thomas Wilmott and to the heires of her body the other halfe part of the housing at Canterbury or mortgage that I have In one whole yeare after my decease
Item I doe give unto my Sister Anna Nepecker Six pounds a yeare to be paid her out of all my lands I have in Pluckley
Item I doe give unto Joanna Nepecker my Sister Six pounds a yeare out of all my lands I have in Pluckley in one whole yeare after my decease untill my brother Edward Nepecker shall be of the age of one and twenty yeares

and then and if he or his Assignes shall pay unto my Sister Anna one hundred pounds of good and lawfull money of England to her or her heires or Assignes then the part of land shall be his and to my Sister Joanna one hundred pounds of good and lawfull money of England Then I do give all my said lands and housing that I have in Pluckley unto my said Brother Edward and to his heires

But in case my brother Edward shall happen to dye before he doth come to the age of one and twenty yeares or doth refuse to pay the said Sumes of money within twelve months next after hee shall come of age That then my Sister Anna shall pay unto Joanna my Sister one hundred pounds of lawfull money to her or her Assignes And my Sister Anna shall have the said lands and housing to her and to her Assignes for ever

Item after my Mother’s decease I doo give unto my Brother Edward all that parcell of landes I have in the Marsh to him and to the heires of his body for ever

And I doe appoint my Loving Mother my whole Executor and to take up one whole yeare’s Rent of all my lands and housing to pay my funerall charge next after my decease
I doo declare this to be my last Will and Testament

In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and Seale the day and yeare first above written it is written with my owne hand
If I dye suddenly further I do declare that my mind is that my Sister Anna may if she please have all the said lands and Rent them out and housing that I have in Pluckley making no wast not stripping unto my Brother Edward shall come of the age aforesaid age and to pay unto my Sister Joanna Six pounds a yeare every yeare so long untill the time aforesaid and to pay unto the Ringes ten shillings to ring one the day of my funerall every yeare so long as she shall hold the lands
