In the name of God Amen I Mary Nepecker of Pluckley in the County of Kent Widow being of sound minde and pfect [perfect] understanding make my last Will and Testament in manner following (that is to say)
First I comend my soule into the hands of Almighty God assuredly trusting in and through the only Meritts of Jesus Christ my only Saviour and Redeemer to be saved And my body I comitt to the Earth decently to be buried by my Executor hereafter named And my temporall Estate I give and bequeath as hereafter followeth (to witt)

I give to my sonne in Law John Nowers the Sum of fourty pounds due to me from Henry Knocke upon a Mortgage Lease
And also the sume of Seaventy pounds due from George Rayner upon a Mortgage Lease made to my said sonne John Nowers

Item I give to my daughter the wife of Thomas Adames Sixe pounds yearely dureing her life to be at her owne disposeing halfe yearely to be paid by my executor and that her husband may have nothing to do with the same But the Acquittance and Acquittances of my said daughter shall be a sufficient discharge to my Executor against her husband and all persons

And after the decease of my daughter Adames I give fifty pounds to Elizabeth Adames and fifty pounds to Mary Adames two of the children of my said daughter Adames to be paid to them as they shall severally and respectively come to the age of one and twenty yeares if their mother shall be then dead but if their mother shall be then liveing Then the said sumes of fifty pounds apiece given to the said Elizabeth and Mary Adames shall be paid to such of them as shall be of the age of one and twenty yeares at the death of their mother within three moneths next after their mothers decease
And my will is that my Executor shall pay to the said Elizabeth and Mary Adames interest for their respective legacies from the death of their mother all they shall attaine to their severall ages of one and twenty yeares

Item I give to my sonne Edward Nepecker apeice of gold called a Guyney [Guinea] to be paid within a Moneth next after my decease
Item I give to Mary and Margarett the two daughters of my daughter Willmott the sume of fifteene pounds equally to be divided between them to be paid to them by my executor in such manner and by such severall payments as he shall thinke fitt And their Acquittance shall be a sufficient discharge to my executors for the same against all persons whatsoever

Item I give to the poore of Pluckley which are not in the poore Booke and are right in want twenty shillings to be paid within a moneth next after my decease at the discrecon of my executors
Item I give five shillings to the widow Burton of Egerton, and five shillings to Mary Chewning of Egerton
And five shillings to Goodwife Large of Pluckley to be paid to them within a Moneth after my decease

Item the arreares of Interest which shall at my death be due for the aforesaid Fourty pounds and for the aforesaid seaventy pounds and all the rest of my Goods and Chattells whatsoever remaining in my Executors hands after my debts legacies funerall expences and the probat of this my Will and all incident charges thereupon shall be paid I give to my three daughters Elizabeth, Joanna and Sarah equally to be divided betweene them
And I doe hereby make void all former Wills by me made makeing and declaring this for my last Will and Testament

In Wittnes whereof I the said Mary Nepecker have hereunto sett my hand and Seale, dated the eighth day of March in the yeare of our Lord Christ One thousand Sixe hundred eighty and nine

Probatum fuit: 23rd June 1701 to Sara Nowers and Johannis Nowers

Note: John Nowers, clothier of Pluckley, ba 30 & Sarah Nepecker of same place, spr. 21, licence dated 16 Dec 1681, married on 22 Dec at Doddington.
