John Nethersoll, yeoman of Patrickesborne, Kent, proved at the PCC on 25 Nov 1567
… [written 1 Sep 1563] the Firste of September 1563 in the 1st year of the reign of Lady Elizabeth … [1y R of E:R I = 1558: thus error in will: it should say the 5th yr of the reign of E:R I]

… to the poore of Bridge and Patrixbourne 6s 8d
… to the poore in Kingstone 3s 4d
… to the poore of Wimlingwold (=Womenswold) 20d
… to my nephew and godson Richarde Nethersoll £6 13s 4 d

Item I bequeathe to my Cosen James Crippen a Coate clothe remeyning in my Cheste
Item I give and bequeathe to my brother Franncys [his] daughter a heyfar [heffer]
Item I bequeathe to my cosine Alice Darely a cowe, 2 ewes, a fine sheete and everie of her 2 daughters a yewe
Item I give and bequeathe to John Myllner a young Budde of a year olde
Item I bequeathe to Nicholas Mesdaye 2 yewes and 4 Busshells of Barley
Item I give and bequeathe to John Parker my boye 1 yewe

The residue of all my moveable gooddes and chattels … to my brother [unnamed] Nethersoll and Richard Nethersoll upon this condicion following that is to say yf my said brother Richarde Nethersoll dooe not refuse to be bounde in ?Copotente sume of moneye to his brother Vincente Nethersoll amowntinge to the double value of the gooddes and chattels by him to be had and received by this my last will to permit and suffer all those lands and hereditaments which he hathe and enjoyethe within the Countie of Kente by the order of the last will and testament of our father Richard Nethersoll to room and remeine according to thentaylle thereof made and declared by the same his last will and testament
Forells my will is that my said brother Richarde Nethersoll shall have no parte nor percell of this gifte and legacie aforesaide touching my moveable gooddes and cattalls But doo give them hollie to my said Brother Vyncente Netheresoll and he to keep them to his owne use till my saide Brother Richarde Nethersoll hathe entered into suche bonde as is afforsaide as stronge as can be devised by the learned Counsell of the saide Vincente Nethersoll my executorres to see the same my last will and testament in everie behalf performed

In wittnis whereof I the said John Nethersoll have hereunto sett my hande, token and seale in the presence of
Thomas Browne, Roberte Wheteley, Thomas Lowe and Robert Vincente

Probatum fuit … PCC London 25 Nov 1567: viresimo quinto (25th) die mensis novembris (Nov) Anno Dm 1567 on the oath of Christopher Smithe public notary, procurator for Vincent Nethersoll & Richard Nethersoll, executors named in the will & to whom duty to administer all & singular (the goods etc) was granted
