first I give and bequeath all and singular my ready money, linen, apparel, goods and personal Estate, whatsoever, wheresoever and of what, kind and Degree, soever, after all my just Debt, funeral charges and expenses of probate of this my last will and testament be thereout fully satisfied, continued and paid unto my natural and lawful Mother Jane now wife of Jeremiah Norton of the parish, Isle and country aforesaid Husbandman and to her Executors, Administrators and Assignees forever.
And I do hereby make, name and appoint the said Jane, my said Mother sole and only Executrix of this my said John Norton have, hereunto sett and
putt my hand and seal, the Day and Year first above written,

The before registered Will of John Norton late of Saint Peter the Apostle in the Isle of Thanet, deceased, was proved the second day of January in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and forty three before Reverend William Gostling, clerk, lawful surrogate to the worshipful Edward Simpson Doctor of Laws, Official General to the Reverend, the Archdeacon of Canterbury lawfully constituted by the oath of Jane Norton, mother of the said deceased and sole Executrix therein named, to whom, administration of the Goods, Chattels, and credits of the said Deceased was committed she being first sworn, well and truly to perform the same.
