In the name of God Amen In the yeare of our Lord God one thousand Six hundred Fifty and nine
I Elizabeth Nower of Ashford in the County of Kent singlewoman being sicke and weake in Body but of sound mind and understanding (praysed be God for the same) doe make and ordaine this to be my last Will and Testament in manner following
First and principally I yeild and resigne up my Soule into the hands of Allmighty God who gave it hopeing and assuredly trusteing to have remission of all my sins only in and through the merrittorious death and passion of my only Saviour and Redeemer Christ Jesus and my Body to the Earth from whence it came to be buried at the discretion of my Executor hereafter named And as touching and concerning the Worldly Estate I have to dispose I dispose the same as followeth

First I give unto Elisabeth Nower daughter of my Uncle Thomas Nower Fowerscore pounds to be paid unto her at the age of Eighteene yeares
But if in case she happen to departe this life before she attaine that age then I give the same Fowerscore pounds unto her Brother John Nower
Also I give to my Uncle William Polts? three Children Five shillings a peece to be paid unto them within one moneth next after my decease
Also I give unto my Aunt Mascer Eighteen pounds to be paid to her or her Executors or administrors within three moneths next after my decease

Also I give my Chest of Linnen and all other things Conteyned in the said Chest unto my Cozen John Nowers of Ashford, Daniell Nowers and my Uncle Thomas Nowers Children equally to be divided between them
Also I give unto Joane the Wife of Daniell Paye? Forty shillings to be paid her within Six moneths next after my decease
Also I give unto my Uncle Daniell Nower his fower Children vizt. Elizabeth, Mary, Anne and Joane Five pounds a peece to be paid unto each of them within six moneths next after my decease

Also I give unto Daniell Nower Sonne of my Uncle John Nower Twenty pounds To be paid towards putting him out an Apprentice when he shall attain some convenient age for that purpose
Also I give unto John Nower sonne of my Uncle Thomas Nower Five pounds to be paid unto him within two yeares after my decease
Also I give unto my Cozen John Nower of Ashford Tenn pounds to be paid him within six moneths next after my decease
Also I give unto my Aunt Gibbon three pounds To be paid unto her within six moneths next after my decease
Also I give unto my Cozen Anne Nower daughter of John Nower Fower pounds
And to my Cozen Fitch wife of Daniell Fitch Twoe pounds to be paid unto them within six monthes next after my decease

All the rest and residue of my Goods Chattells and personall Estate whatsoever my debts Legacies and Funerall expences discharged I give and leave to Mr. John Nower of Ashford Esqr. in the County of Kent whom I make and ordaine sole Executor of this my last Will and Testament and unto whome I desire my Aunt Nower shall be accountable for all such Estate of mine as is in her power not yet accounted for

In Witness whereof I have to this my Will conteyned in two Sheetes of Paper set my hand and fixed my Seale (That is to say) to the first sheete of paper and to other have set my hand and Seale This second day of July in the yere of our Lord God Accordinge to the computacon of the Church of England one thousand six hundred Fifty nine

Signed sealed Subscribed published and declared by the said Elizabeth Nower to be her last Will and Testament in the presence of
Anne Fitch - Thomas Rolfe - Jone Beeching her marke

I Elizabeth Nower also give and bequeath unto the fower daughters of my Unkle Daniell Nower the summe of Tenne pounds if there be so much left after Expences and Legacies paid, to be equally divided amongst them when and as they shall attaine the age of Eighteene yeares
This Codicill Signed in the presence of Anne Fitch Thomas Rolfe

This Will and Codicill was proved at London the first day of May in the yeare of our Lord one thousand six hundred and sixty before the Judges for probate of Wills and grannting Administracons Lawfull(y) authorized by the oath of John Nower Executer named in the said Will To whom was committed Admin. of all and singuler the Goods Chattells and debts of the said deceased he being first sworne by Commission well and truly to Administer.
