In the Name of God Amen I Richard Nunum of the Parish of Staple in the County of Kent Yeoman, being in good health and p[er]fect minde & memory (praised be God therefore) doe make and Ordaine this my last Will & Testament in writeing, the two & twentyeth of June in the Twenty eight yeare of the raigne of our Soveraigne Lord Charles the sec[on]d by the grace of God of England Scotland France & Ireland King defender of ye faith etc. Anno Dini 1676 in manner & forme following, vizt.
I give my soul to God that first gave me in sure and certaine hope that through the alone merritts of my Lord & Saviour Jesus Christ I shalbe raised againe att the great day of his comeing, to my everlastinge comfort & soe to rest & remaine with him for evermore And my body to the earth of which it was first framed & made to be decently buried in the parish Church of Staple by mine Executor hereafter menconed [mentioned] And as for my worldly goods, that God hath lent me, I give & bequeath in manner & forme following

Item I give & bequeath unto Mildred Robacke the late wife of Richard Robacke of Ash next Sandwich ye sume of twenty shillings to be p[ai]d unto her within twelve monthes next after my decease

Item I give & bequeath unto Martha Samson ye Bed & Bedstedle, mat rope, blanketts, sheetes, Curtains, vallence & all things thereunto belonging standing (in) our Lodgeing Chamber in which we doe now lye, to be had & enjoyed by the s[ai]d Martha imediatly after the decease of Alice my now wife and not before
Item I give & bequeath more unto ye said Martha Samson ye greate Table & forme in the Hall & ye biggest Iron pot to have & enjoy after the dec[ease] of Alice my aforesd wife & not before

Item I give & bequeath unto Alice my beloved wife All that Messuage or Tenement, the Barne place, Garden, Orchard & six Acres of Land arrable & pasture therew[i]th used, occupyed & enjoyed together with their & every of their appurten[an]ces scituate lyeing & being in the parish of Ash next Sandwich and att or neer two places there one called Ware & the other Littledowne feild & now in the occupacon of John Culverhouse or of (his) assignes To have & to hold unto the sd. Alice my wife dureing the time & terme of her natural life
And from and after the decease of Alice my aforesd wife I give & bequeath the aforesaid Messuage or Tenem[en]t Land & Premises with Thappurtences [The Appurtenances] in manner and forme as followeth

Item I give & bequeath unto Richard Nunum the Sonne of Stephen Nunum of the parish of St. Laurence in the Isle of Thanet the aforesd Messuage or Tenem[en]t, the Barne place, Garden, Orchard & two peeces or parcells of pasture Land adjoyning to ye place of ye sd Messuage To have & to hold unto the sd Richard Nunum and his heires for ever

And alsoe I will that if Alice my wife shall happen to departe this life before the sd Richard shall attaine to ye age of one & twenty yeares, that then my Brother Stephen Nunum aforesaid shall have the yearly Rent thereof on the Condicon that he doe keep it sufficiently repaired untill the age of Richard Nunum abovesaid

Item I give & bequeath unto Stephen Nunum son of ye said Stephen abovesaid one acre of arrable and lyeing in Narestreet adjoyning to the Land of John Solley and to the Common way East and to the Lands of Edw: Elsteat [Elstreet?] South, to have & to hold the sd acre of arrable Land unto the sd Stephen Nunum & his heires for ever

And Whereas two acres of my sd Lands lieth in little downe feild aforesaid I give & bequeath unto Mildred Nunum/Numan daughter of the aforesd Richard one acre of the sd two acres to the use of the sd Mildred & her heires for ever
Item I give & bequeath unto Martha Samson the other acre of Land lyeing in little downe feild to bee equally devided between them by measurement
And further I will that if the sd Martha shall departe this life without heires borne of her owne body, then her acre of Land shalbe equally devided between Richard & Stephen Nunum aforesd.

Item I give & bequeath unto my Brother Stephen Nunum five pounds to be paid unto him in three monthes next after my dec[ease]

Item I nominate & appoint Alice my beloved wife to be my whole & Sole Executrix of this my last will & Testament & to her I give all the rest of my moveable goods, Chattle & Cattle nott bequeathed? & household stuffe not before bequeathed on Condicon to pay my debts & legacyes that are to be paid & to beare pay & discharge my funerall & the expence thereof
And I doe hereby renounce & make void all other wills formerly by me made and acknowledge this to be the last
