In the name of god amen the seven day of March in the eight year of the reign of our Sovereign lord Charles by the grace of god King of England Scotland France & Ireland defender of the faith & I John Page of the parish of Elmsted in the County of Kent yeoman being sick in body but of good & perfect memory thanks be given unto Almighty God do make this my last will & testament in manner & form following First I give my soul into the hands of Almighty God hoping to have remission of all my sins through Jesus Christ my redeemer and my body to the earth to be buried after the manner of Christian burial

Item my will is that Robert Claringboule William Spiner both of the parish of Elmsted shall have full power to sell any my piece of land called North Croft/Cross with the carvet thereunto belonging & my other piece of land called limeye & the such of any other lands adjoining to the said Lands for the discharging one annuity & other debts as they shall thereto fall & what assurances they shall make about the sale thereof I devise them as full power as if I had done it my self Concerning my two messuages & my other lands thereunto belonging my will is that Katherine my wife shall have the profit of them for the bringing up of my children until such time as my son Richard shall accomplish the age of one & twenty years

And when he shall accomplish the age of one & twenty years my will is then the said two messuages & the lands thereunto belonging to him & his heirs forever Provided also & my will is that he shall pay unto every one of my four daughters when he shall accomplish the said age Margery Mary Elizabeth & Jane ten pounds a piece
if any of the four daughters do happen to die before they shall receive their portion without any issue then my will is that her or their portion so deceased shall be equally divided amongst the survivors & if any of them deceased have any issue then to those children my will is that he shall pay one of them every year as their age is the oldest first and if my wife do live after my son Richard shall accomplish the age of one & twenty years then my will is that she shall have the house & the lands now in the occupation of Will Morgan that is to say the orchard & the piece of land joining thereunto containing by estimation two acres & the hemp land at the other side of the way adjoining unto the lands of George Impett All the time of her natural life as long as she be then a widow provided always and my will is that my wife shall not fell nor top any trees during the time that she shall take the profit of any of my lands but such as is fit for the repairing of the hedges & repairing the houses and that she shall leave the house and buildings sufficiently repaired all the said time that she shall have the use of them

Item I give unto Katherine my wife all my moveable goods whom I make my sole executor of this my will she paying all my debts which are under the value of forty shillings In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand & seal the day & year before written
