In the name of God Amen The xxvijth [27th] daye of Januarye in the yere of our Lorde Chryst A Thousand fyve hundryth threscore and syx [1566]
I John Paramore of the parryshe of Estreye in the Countye of Kent being sick in bodye but whole of memorye, Thankes be geven to God doe make my last will and Testament in manner and forme following, viz.
Fyrst I bequethe my soull unto Allmyghtye God thorow Jhesus Chryst my Redeemer and my bodye to be buryed in the churcheyeared of Estrye

Item I geve and bequethe to the poore mens box of the parryshe of Estrye ijs
Item I will that ymedatly after my deceas that all my movable goodes and cattell be praysd [appraised] by indyfferent men and then my debtes, Legacies and bequests put of the same being deductyd, alowed and consytheryd [considered]

Then I will that the same movable goodes and cattalls be equaly shifted into twoo partes, and my wyfe to have the one parte,
and the other parte I geve and bequethe unto my twoo daughters that ys Willmytt and Martha to be shifted equaly betwene them by evin portions to be payd unto them at the age of eyghtene yeres or at the daye of theyre maryage

Allso yf yt fortune any of my sayd daughters to dye before the tyme Lymytyd of the receyte of theyre portions Then I will that the one to be the others heyer And yf yt shall chance that they bothe dye before the sayd appoyntyd tyme Then I wyll that theyre sayd portions shall remayne indyfferetly betwene my sayd wyfe and John Paramore my sonne

Item I will that my sayd wyfe shall keepe all my sayd chyldren untyll they come to have theyre portions herein Lymytyd And that she doo receyve and retayne all theyre portions wt the p[ro]fyt thereof towards the maintennce and kepyng of them untyll the sayd appoytyd tyme

of thys my Last will and Testament I ordeyne and make my Lovinge wyfe and Rychard Austen of Harnenden my Executors, desyringe them to see my debtes payd, my Legacyes dyscharged and thys my will faythfully p[er]formed & sattsyfylled accordyng to the trewe meaning of the same

Item I will that after my deceas that my sayd wyfe doo put in sufficient bonds unto Rychard Austen for the said performannce of my will in all respectes Allso that yf the sayd Rychard Austen chance to Laye out any monye at any tyme about any busynes of this my Will Then I will yt be payd and alowed hym out of my sayd movable goodes and catell

Thys ys the laste Wyll and Testament of me John Paramore bering date the daye and yeare fyrst abovesayd

wherein I geve and bequethe unto my sonne John Paramore and to the heyers of hys bodye Lawfully begotten my Mesuage that I nowe dwell in wt the barne and Stable and the appurtenncs thereunto belonging wt all my Lands thereunto adjoyning or apperteyning, wt all my Landes and Tenements ells where in the Countye of Kent The same to have and to hould at the age of one and twentye yeares and not before

And untyll that tyme I will that my wyfe shall have and reseave [receive] the p[ro]fites thereof towerdes the maynten[a]nce and kepynge of my sayd children so that shee doo neither strypp nor wast any tymber, wood or underwood comming and growing in and apon the premysses And that she keepe or cause to be kept all manner of reparacons in and appon all the housing as wind tyght and water tyght dureing all the mynoryty of my sayd sonne

Item yf yt chance my sayd wyfe to dye before my sayd sonne comme to the age aforesayd Then I will that Rychard Augustine [Austen] aforsayd shall have the keping and appoyntment of my sayd sonne and to reseave the p[ro]fits of all my sayd Landes and Tenements with out any stryppyng or wasting as aforsayd and shall make a just and Lawfull accompt unto the heyer thereof when by this Will he or they do enjoy the same

Item I will that yf yt chance my sayd sonne to dye without yssue of hys bodye Lawfully begotten Then I will that all the sayd Landes and Tenements dessend unto my sayd daughters and to the heyers of theyre body Lawfully begotten forever
Item I will thay yf my sayd wyfe do at any tyme after my deceas clyame or chalinge any dowry out of my sayd Landes and Tenements Then I wyll that shee doo lose the benefyts of this my will
