In th name of God amen the foweth day of September Anno domini 1664 and in the Sixteenth yeare of the Reigne of our Sovereigne Lord Charles the Second by the Grace of God of England Scotland France and Ireland King Defender of the faith etc
I Elizabeth Parbo of the Towne and port of Sandwich in the County of Kent widdow being crasy in body but of Sound and perfect mind and memory (praised be God for it) Doe make and Ordeyne this my last Will and Testament in manner and forme following (that is to say)
First I bequeath my Soule into the hands of Almighty God my Creator and maker with full assurance and Steadfast hope in my redeemer Christ Jesus to live with him Eternally after this my Mortall life shall bee ended And my Body I Bequeath to the Earth Whereof it was first framed decently to bee interred in the South Chancell of St. Peters Church in Sandwich aforesaid as neere to the Body of Edmund Parbo gentleman my deceased husband as Conveniently may bee att the discretion of my Executors hereafter named

And of this my last Will and Testament I nominate and appoint my Trusty and wellbeloved freinds Phineas Elwood and John Verrier of Sandwich aforesaid gentlemen Joynt Executors And I doe hereby authorize and appoint them my said Executors.
And my Will and mind is that they my said Executors shall sell and dispose of all and singuler my moveable goods and personall Estate whatsoever and wheresoever And of what nature Quality or Degree soever the same shall exist and bee together will all and singuler my messuages lands and Tenements hereafter mencioned (that is to say)
My house scituat in the said parish of St. Peters adjoyning to New Street there Which I formely purchased of my Sonne in Law John Boys gentleman
my house at Canterbury called the Schoolehouse Whereof I have l lease of the Lord Arch Bishopp of Canterbury
my Marshland lying in the parish of Ash which I late purchased of Anthony Hamond Esqr
And all those lands Called the Fryers and the messuage thereto belonging Sett lying and being in the said parrish of St. Peter which I late purchased of John Pretyman Esqr. and Margarett his Wiffe daughter and heire of Sir Mathew Memes of the Honorable order of the Bath knight
And all other my messuages lands and premisses by me purchased since the decease of my said husband
for and towards the payment of my debts legacies herein after mencioned funerall chardges and probate of this my Will according to the true intent and meaneing thereof

And first I give and bequeath unto the Churchwardens of the parrish of St. Peters aforesaid five pounds
To the Churchwardens of the parrish of St. Clements in Sandwich aforesaid I give five pounds
And to the Churchwardens of St Maries in Sandwich aforesaid I give five pounds
to bee paid within one yeare next after my decease to bee imployed by them and their Successors yearely as a Stocke to buy Coales in Summer at the cheapest rates and to bee sold out in Winter to the poorer sort of the same parrishes at such Rates as they shall soe by the same in summer their reasonable chardges therein being allowed them And soe to bee preserved to that use forever by the advise of the Ministers and Collectors of the said parrishes the said Chuchwardens entring into bonds of Tenn pounds a peece to the Minister of each parrish for the tyme being to preserve and imploy the said five pounds a parrish yearly to the use aforesaid forever

Item I give to the Harbina of St. Johns Hospitall in Sandwich forty ells of canvas at foureteene pence the ell to make sheets for the said harbina and hospitall
Item my Will and mind is that my said Executors shall make upp and repaire the South Chancell of the said parrish Church of St. Peters Where my said husband is buried And fence the same off from the Churchyard there at the discretion of my said Executors
Alsoe I give and bequeath unto my said sonne in law John Boys five pounds to bee paid unto him within three monethes next after my decease

Alsoe I give and bequeath unto my Neice Margaret White Twenty pounds to bee paid unto her withn Twelve monethes next after my decease
Alsoe I give and bequeath unto my Nephew Nicholas White five pounds to bee paid unto him within Twelve monethes next after my decease
And I give and bequeath unto my Nephewes John White and Henry White five pounds a peece
And to my Neice Jane White I give five pounds
to bee paid unto them my said Nephewes and Neice within Twelve monethes next after my decease

Alsoe I give and bequeath to my man Servant three pounds and to each of my manservants which shall serve me at my death forty shillings a peece to bee paid unto them and every of them within three monethes next after my decease
And I give and bequeath unto either of my said Executors for their paines to bee taken herein five pounds a peece

All the rest and residue of the money that shall remaine of my said moveable goods personall estate lands tenements and hereditaments by me before in this my Will appointed to bee sold My mind and Will is shall bee paid and delivered unto and amongst my five Grandchildren sonnes of my daughter Elizabeth Boys deceased in manner following (that is to say)
One half of the Same overplus which shall remaine as aforesaid to my Grandchildren John Boys Edmond Boys and Edward Boys to bee equally devided betweene them within Twelve monethes next after my decease
And the other moyty or half part of the same overplus Which shall remaine as aforesaid to my Grandchildren William Boys and Thomas Boys to bee equally devided betweene them at their respective ages of one and Twenty yeares
And in the meane tyme the somme to bee putt out by my said Executors to the Best Advantage of my said Grandchildren William and Thomas Boys
And if any of my said Grandchildren happen to dye before the attainment of their ages aforesaid or before his or their legacy shall beecome due to bee paid That then the Survivor or Survivors of them shall have and enjoy his and their legacy and Legacies soe dying

In Witnesse whereof to this my last will and Testament in foure sheets of paper conteyened to every sheet therof my hand and seale have sett dated the day and yeare first above written
