In the Name of God Amen I Thomas Pemble of Cobham in the County of Kent Gentleman being somewhat indisposed in Body but of sound and disposing Mind Memory and Understanding (praised be God) Do make and Ordain this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following (that is to say)
First and principally I Surrender up my Soul into the hands of Almighty God my Creator hoping to be saved by and through the only merits and Satisfaction of Jesus Christ my Saviour and Redeemer and my Body I commit to the Earth to be Decently Interred and Buried by and at the discretion of my Executrix hereinafter named

Also I will order and Direct that all and every my Just Debts which I Shall or may happen to owe at my Death shall be fully paid and discharged
Also as a Token of my Sense of the Great Love and affection which my Dearly beloved Wife Susanna Osborne Pemble hath and beareth unto and towards me and unto and towards the Children she hath had by me I Give and Devise all and every my Messuages or Tenements Lands and Hereditaments whatsoever Situate lying and being in the Parish of Saint James in the Isle of Grain in the said County of Kent with their and every of their appurtenances unto and to the use of my said Dearly beloved Wife Susanna Osborne Pemble her Heirs and assigns for ever to be by her and them held Enjoyed and disposed of as She and they shall in her his or their Discretion or discretions think fit

Also as a further token of my Sense of the Great Love and Affection which my said Wife hath and beareth unto and towards me and my said Children I give and bequeath all and every my ready Money and Suretys for Money Debts Plate Linnen Woollen Pewter Brass Beds Bedding Household Stuff and Implements of Household Goods Chattels and Personal Estate whatsoever and wheresoever (my Just Debts and Funeral Expenses being thereout first paid and Satisfyed) unto and to the use of my said Wife Susanna Osborn Pemble her Executors Administrators and Assigns absolutely to be by her and them Enjoyed and disposed of as she and they Shall in her or their Discretion or Discretions think fit

And I do hereby make and appoint my said Wife Susanna Osborn Pemble full and sole Executrix of this my last Will and Testament
And I do hereby revoke and make Void all former Wills by me at any time heretofor made

In Witness whereof I the said Thomas Pemble have to this my last Will and Testament set my hand and Seal dated the Eighteenth day of February In the Twenty ninth year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord George the Second By the Grace of God of Great Britain France and Ireland King Defender of the Faith and so forth And in the Year of our Lord One thousand Seven hundred and fifty six, Thos. Pemble

Signed Sealed published and Declared by the said Thomas Pemble to be his last Will and Testament in the Presence of us who Subscribed our Names as Witnesses hereunto in the presence of the said Testator,

This Will was proved at London the Twentyfourth day of July In the Year of our Lord One thousand Seven hundred and fifty nine before the Right Worshipfull Edward Simpson Doctor of Laws Master Keeper or Commissary of the Prerogative Court of Canterbury lawfully constituted by the Oath of Susanna Osborn Pemble Widow the Relict of the deceased and Sole Executrix named in the said Will to whom Administration was Granted of all and Singular the Goods Chattels and Credits of the said Deceased She having been first Sworn by Commission duly to Administer.

Note: Thomas was the son of William Pemble of Cobham died 1727 and the brother of Rev. William Pemble of Cobham died 1729.
