Inder Nomme Amen the thirteenth day of the month of April ye year of our god 1509 [or 1506?]
I John Petett of Chilham whole mind and whole soul make my testament in the manner following
First I give and bequeath my soul to AlmIghty god to his mother our lady saint Mary and to all ye holy company of heaven my body to be buried in the churchyard of Chilham afor said

Also I give to Alice my wife & the said Alice to keep my children her ... £13 5d (?) now of lawful money which is in the hands of John Rerton?
And also the said money I will that the said Alice my wife shall pay or cause to be paid ..... .... & to the time and send to the ...... & church of Chilham

The residue of my ..... as god knows it but .... which holy I give to Alice my wife and she to be mine executrix & to dispose them for my souls & discharging of her own conscience & the health of the souls in time ......
