The Last Will and Testament Nuncupative of John Petman late whilest he lived of the parish of Staplehurst in the County of Kent and Archdeaconry of Canterbury Batchellor deceased by him uttered and declared in the time of his last sickness whereof he dyed and about six weeks next before his death which happened in or about the moneth of November 1670 and about the twenty third day of the same moneth he being then in a consumpton and very crasy and weak in body, but of good and perfect memory and haveing a full intent and purpose to make his will and dispose of his Estate did by words of mouth declarwe theis words or words to this effect.

Richard Spice the elder of Cranebrooke in the County of Kent aforesaid comeing to visite the said deceased He the said John Petman decead told the said Richard Spice that he was very glad that he was come to his house for he said that he had much desired to see him, for that he was in a languishing conditon, and thought to make his will in theis words Viz

the said John Petman said that he did give unto ffrancis Petman his brothers sonne (who then and now dwelleth with the said Richard Spice) his little house lying at Staplehurst Towne
and unto his sister Tuckers two children John Tucker and Christopher Tucker he gave all the rest of his estate whatsoever and the rent of his little house till they come to one and twenty yeares of age towards their bringing upp
and further desired the said Richard Spice that he would looke after the said sisters two children and see that they werwe not wronged of what he had given them, and to that effect in the hearing of the witnwesses hereunto subscribed.
