THIS IS THE LAST WILL of me William Pettyt the tenth day of the month of December in the year of the Lord one thousand four hundred and eighty four and the second year of the reign of King Richard the third after the conquest of England.

In the first instance I wish that my feoffees enfeoff Thomas Petytt my son into my tenement at Deale with twenty acres of land lying in the parish of Deale aforesaid, Great Mongham and Sholden to him and his heirs for ever.

Item I will that me feoffees enfeoff Nicholas Petytt my son into one tenement in which the aforesaid Nicholas resides with twenty acres lying in the parishes of Sholden and Great Mongeham to his heirs and assigns for ever.

Item I will that my feoffees enfeoff Agnes Petytt my daughter into four and a half acres of land lying wholly adjoining Adylhale in the parish of Sholden within the day of my anniversary to her and her heirs for ever.

Item I will that my feoffees enfeoff Richard Petytt my son into my principal messuage with all my messuages and lands lying in the parishes of Scholden, Deale and Greate Mongeham or elsewhere in the county of Kent except defined before hand to Thomas Petytt, Nicholas Petytt and Agnes Petytt, to him and his heirs for ever,
on condition that the aforesaid Richard Petytt and his assigns pay or cause to be paid to Willomyna my wife twenty shillings of legal money of England annually during the term of the life of the aforesaid Willomyna from the lands and tenements limited to the aforesaid Richard.

Also I will that the aforesaid Willomyna have a chamber in my aforesaid principal tenement for the term of her life.
And if the aforesaid Willomyna is unwilling to have that annual rent of twenty shillings defined before hand and the aforesaid chamber previously named then I the aforesaid William will that the aforesaid Willomyna have my messuage called Cokkys with the appurtenances and four acres and one rod of land for the term of the life of the aforesaid Willomyna.

Item I will that the aforesaid Willomyna my wife have one pasture next The Forstall containing one acre and a half of land for the time she lives alone unmarried.
And the aforesaid Richard Petytt to sow for the aforesaid Willomyna the aforesaid four acres and one rod of land with his sees expended at his own proper expense for one year then next following.
Item I will that Willomyna have one acre of land sown with wheat for this year of the land of the aforesaid Richard.

The present testament was proved together with the last will of the same before us John Parmenter Master of Laws by the authority of the Reverend Father in Christ and lord of the Diocese Thomas in the church of St Clement Sandwich the twelfth day of the month of January in the year of the Lord one thousand four hundred and eighty four [1484/5]
