Item I give to the Povertye of St. John Parish three pounds and to the Povertye of the Minster Parish eleven shillings to be distributed at such tymes as so .... nothe God.
Item I geve to JOAN CHAPMAN my God daughter five pounds of lawfull moneye at the Daye of her Marryage.
Item I geve all my shepe to the children of my Brother THOMAS CHAPMAN deceased by even porcons.
Item I geve to ALES HARLARKENDEN my God daughter pyst of plate of five shillings and ten pence being now in the hands of
HARLARKENDEN her Father.
The Resydue of all my goods my detts and funeral discharged I geve to my Brother HENRY PETTYTT whome I make hole Executor of this my last Will Date Day and Yeare first above written by me VALENTINE PETTYTT.
This is the last Will of me VALENTINE PETTYTT for the disposition and ordering of all my Landes and tenements lying in the Parish of Minster and St Nycholas Atwood or elswheer in the Isle of Thanet made the Day and yeare aforesaid and in the yeare of the Raigne of Ower Soveraigne Lady Anne.
Fyrst I geve and bequeath my Landes and tenements with in the Parish of Minster and St Nycholas Atwood or else where ever in the Isle of Thanet and in the Countye of Kent to my Brother HENRY PETTYTT and to the Heares of his bodye lawfully begotten in fee simple.
And for lacke of Heares Male I geve the sayde tenements and Landes unto HOLYEAS PETTYTT and CALEBB PETTYTT the Sonnes of my Brother EDWARD PETTYTT deceased the Heires Male of theire boddys lawfully begotten by even porcons.
And for lacke of Heires Male of each of theire boddyes lawfully begotten I geve that porcon so remayninge unto LAMENTATION CHAPMAN and hys Heires lawfully in fee simple.
Also yf the other Heire of my said Brother EDWARD happen to decease also without heires male
of hys bodye lawfully begotten then I will the said moytye so remaining unto the Heire of the
bodye of my sayd Brother HENRYE PETTYTT lawfully begotten.
