Item I bequeath my house in Staple called Barnshold to be equally gifted between my two eldest sons that is to say William Pettit and Richard Pettit, And that William Pettit my son shall have the Southside to the rearhalf with the chamber rooms above right over that to the rearhalf and no further, I will that my son Richard Pettit shall have the Northside of my house with the chamber rooms over that and the hall, as same as the rearhalf goeth and no further.
Item I give to William Pettit a piece of land called the Longe close by estimation 7 (?) acres and the ... and a close called the priest
close to him his heirs for ever.
Item I give to my son Richard Pettit four acres of ground under the Mead hedge being arable ground and five acres of arable ground under
the Long Close hedge and one acre of ground by estimation commonly called hortins alter (?) to the forenamed Richard.
Item I bequeath my orchard to be mo... out and equally gifted between my two sons aforesaid that then my son William Pettit to have the
one half and my son Richard to have the other half of the orchard aforesaid
Item I give and bequeath to my son Bartillimow Pettit my little house in the which my son William Pettit now dwelleth in with the
garden ... arable close afore the house by estimation eight acres be it more or less and five rodes of ground adjoining to the lands late

Also I will and bequeath unto my son Bartilmew two acres of pasture ground lying in whitfeld called the new leese and two acres of arable

Item I will and give to Jone Pettit my eldest daughter twenty nobles being six pounds thirteen shillings and four pence of good and
lawful money of England and a brass pott, which pott is in measure above a gallon somewhat being the pott that her grandmother gave her
Item I give to Sisley Pettit my youngest daughter five pounds a brass pott now being in the hands of my brother Christopher

afore mentioned shall be equally divided between my two daughters, that is to say Jone Pettit and Sisley Pettit
Item I will that the money before I bequeathed to my two daughters shall be immediately be paid out of the lands at Barnshold which is
out of the third part that I have given to William Pettit, Richard Pettit and Bartilllimew Pettit
Item if it fortune that my daughter Jone die before my daughter Sisley, that then Sisley my daughter shall be her heir and enjoy the part
to her willed, And if it fortune that Sisley my daughter die before Jone my daughter that then Jone my daughter to be her heir and have
her part, And if it fortune that they both die without heirs that then it shall remaine to my three eldest sons, All except one brass
