ITEM I give to my sonne James Pettit and his heires the Marshland in
William Button's occupation rented for five pounds four shillings and to be
occupied and enjoyed by my said sonne when he shall come to the age of
eighteen yeares.
ITEM I give to my said sonne James soe much money as will make up that
little sume due to him from my brother Jekin eleven score pounds to be paid
unto him by my Executor when he shall come to the age aforesaid and in the
meantime my will is that my Executor shall pay him six pounds yearly untill
he comes to the age and no longer.
ITEM I give to my sonne John Pettit and his heires the land now in the
occupation of James Bunce and rented for ten pounds and to be enjoyed by
him when he shall come to the age of eighteen yeares.
ITEM I give to my sonne John soe much money as will make up that little
sume due to him from my brother Jekin six score pounds to be paid unto him
by my Executor when he shall come to the age aforesaid and in the
meantime my will is that my Executor shall pay him six pounds yearly untill
he comes to the said age and no longer.
ITEM I give to my sonne George Pettit and his heires all my lands with my two houses in the parish of Ringwould.
ITEM I give to my daughter Susan Pettit two hundred and twenty pounds to
be paid within two months thereafter my decease.
ITEM I give my said daughter Susan the Best Bed, Bedsted and furniture
about happen it now nowe stands in the parlour and chamber and halfe a
dozen peeces of pewter such as her Uncle Jekin shall thinke fitt.
ITEM I give to my daughter Sarah Pettit two hundred pounds whereof one hundred pounds paid her within halfe a yeare after my decease and the other hundred within twelve months after my decease.
ITEM I give to my sonne Edward Fellow three score pounds.
ITEM I give to my sonne James Matson three score pounds.
ITEM I give to the poore of Ringwould twenty shillings and to the poore of
Coldred four shillings.
Last of all I make my sonne George Pettit my sole Executor of this my last Will and Testament whome I give all my money, plate, goods and chattels whatsoever hee paying my debts and funerals charges and legacies.
IN Witness whereof I have here unto sett my hand and seale the 4th of
March in the yeare of our Lord 1663.
My will is that the lands given to my two younger sonnes to be possessed by them when they shall come to be
eighteen yeares of age and shall be possessed and enjoyed by my eldest sonne George Pettit untill they
shall come to the yeares aforesaid.
