In the Name of God AMEN Know all men by these Presents That Phinees Pett his Majestie's Mr Shipwright at Woolwich being weakened by a long fitt of Sickness, yet Praised be God of a sound memorie and understanding I doe in the first place commit my pretious Soule into the safe Conduct and hands of the blessed the ever- blessed Lord Jesus my pretious Redeemer : I doe bequeath my bodie this poor shattered Earthly Tabernacle of Clay to a decent Christian sorte Buriall as my wife and Executor shall think fitt :

I doe bequeath unto my foure daughters (namely) Susannah Katherine Elizabeth and Mary to each of them thirtiefive Pounds, to be payd One halfe or moietie within two yeares after my decease , and the other moietie within two yeares I meane at the expiration of two yeares after , when the debts I owe are satisfied:

Now considering the great losses and impoverishing my deare faithful most loving and most virtuous my dearely beloved wyfe Elizabeth hath susteyned , I doe by these Presents (as I stand obliged before God and Man) bequeath unto my said wife Elizabeth all my Goods Chattells Estate reall and personall for her proper use and behoofe forevere Leaving to her Charitie and wisedom without prejudice to herself if things happen better then is expected to Ease any of my Relations that may fall indistress;

And I doe appoint and ordaine Joseph Helby of Lymehouse Executor of this my last Will and Testament written with my owne hand and sealed this Eighteenth of January One thousand six hundred seaventy seaven and eight Phinees Pett witnesses hereunto Andrew Rogers John Brett John Jeely

I the said Phinees Pett in Confirmation to my Will wrote upon the other Page appoint constitute and ordaine my trustie Mr Joseph Holby (recited in the bottom of my Will) my full sole Executor of the said recited Will which is my last Will and Testament dated this Eighteenth of January Anno One thousand six hundred seaventie seaven and eight Witness my hand and Seale : Phinees Pett
