In the Name of God Amen the 17th of October in the yeare of Our Lord God one thousand fyve hundrethe thre score and eight and in the tenthe yeare of the Reigne of Our Sovereigne Lady Elizabeth by the Grace of God Quene of England France and Ireland Defender of the Faithe
I THOMAS PHILPOTT of the Paryshe of Boughton Aluphe in the County of Kent Husbandman beinge sycke in body neverthelesse in good and perfect remembrance laude and prayse be geven to Allmightie God do ordayne constytute and make my last Wyll and Testament in manner and forme followinge (that is to say) Fyrst I geve and bequeathe my soule into the Hands of Allmightie God my Savyor Jesus Chryste my onle Redemer and Savyor. And my body to be buryed in the Churche Yard of Boughton aforesaid.

I do ordayne and make my wyffe JONE PHILPOTT my sole Executrix of this my last Wyll and Testament.
I geve to the Poore Mens Box 8d.

I geve and bequeath unto my two eldest sonnes RICHARD PHILPOTT and ALEXANDER PHILPOTT 13s.4d a peece to be payd within one hole yeare after my decease.

I geve and bequeath unto my sonnes THOMAS PHILPOTT 16s.8d SYMON PHILPOTT 16s 8d. JOHN PHILPOTT 16s. 8d and GEORGE PHILPOTT 16s. 8d. to be payd unto them one yeare after another as they stande before begynnynge with THOMAS PHILPOTT.

Item I geve unto MARY PHILPOTT my daughter 16s.8d. to be payd unto her as her turne comethe after her brothers before named.

The reste of all my goodes and cattells moveable and immoveable unbequeathed I geve and bequeath unto JONE PHILPOTT my wyffe aforesaid my Executrix of this my last Wyll and Testament.
