Also I do give and bequeath unto my son WILLIAM PHILLPOTT all my household stuffe implements of
household bedding linnen woollen plate pewter brass moveables brewing vessels and goods whatsoever
standing or being in the house wherein I now dwell in Word als Worth aforesaid And in the beerehouse
adjoining.
Also I do give and bequeath unto him my said son WILLIAM PHILLPOTT the sume of five
hundred pounds of lawfull money of England and ten of my broad peaces of gold to be paid and delivered to
my said son WILLIAM PHILLPOTT by my Executor hereafter named within three months next after my
decease.
Also I do give and bequeath unto my said son WILLIAM PHILLPOTT my three twelve monthing
mare colts to be delivered to him my said Executor within one month next after my decease.
Also I give and bequeath unto my daughter MARY the wife of JOSHUA PARAMORE the sume of ten pounds of like lawfull money of England to be paid to her my said daughter by my Executor within six months next after my decease.
Also I do give and bequeath unto all such of my Grandchildren who shall be living at the tyme of my decease the sume of five pounds apeace to be paid to them and every of them my said grandchildren all theire portions at age twenty and one years and if any of them my said grandchildren shall happen to dye before theire said Legacyes of five pounds apeace shall become due and payable by vertue of this my Will as aforesaid then my will and mind is that the said Legacye or Legacyes of him her or them my said grandchildren so dyeing shall remaine to the hands of my said Executor for his owne proper use and benefitt.
All the rest and residue and singular my goods cattle chattells stock moveables Leases and personale whatsoever and wheresoever and of what nature quantity or degree whatsoever the same shall exist and be herein before given or bequeathed I do give and bequeath unto my Eldest son RALPH PHILLPOTT he well and truly paying all my Debts and Legacys and funerall expenses
And of this my last Will and Testament I do make and ordaine him my said son RALPH PHILLPOTT junior full and sole Executor. And I do hereby revoke and renounce all former wills by me made.
This is the last Will and Testament of me the said RALPH PHILLPOTT the Elder made and declared the said one and twentieth Day of December Anno Dmi touching the disposing of all and singular my messuages lands tenements and hereditaments whatsover with their appurtenances situate sett lying and being in the said parish of Word als Worth and in the parish of Woodnesborough als Winsborough Eastry and elsewhere in the said County of Kent. I give and dispose thereof as followeth.
First I give and devise unto my son WILLIAM PHILLPOTT and his heires all these my four peeces or
parcells of Land arrable and pasture and containing the whole by my estimation twenty acres more or less
with theire and every of theire appurtenances lying and being in the Parish of Woodnesborough als
Winsborough aforesaid also in a place there called North Pouldres Valley now in the tenure and occupation
of John Sonab? Daniel Browne John Foasome? of them and their sons or one of theire assigns.
And also all that my other peece or parcell of pasture land containing by estimation four acres more or less with theire
appurtenances lying and being in the said parish of Woodnesborough als Winsborough or in a place there
called South Pouldres Valley. And also all these my three acres of pasture or fresh Marshland commonly
called or known by the name of Gortupps? Containing in the whole by estimation thirty acres more or less
with theire appurtenances lyeing and being in the parish of Word als Worth aforesaid and which I sometime
since purchased of Sir William Langeston and Bartholomew Coombe. And also all that my other peeces or
parcells of land commonly called or known by the name of Ye Isle of Doggs containing by estimation four
acres more or less with theire appurtenances lyeing and being near a place there called the Small Donn's
Bridge in the said parish of Word als Worth to leave and to hold all and every the said peeces or parcells of
land before menconed with all and singular theire and every of theire appurtenances and unto my said son
WILLIAM PHILLPOTT his heirs and assigns forever.
All the rest and residue of all and singular my messuages and lands tenements and hereditaments whatsoever situate lying and being in the aforesaid parishes of Woodnesborough als Winsborough Word als Worth Eastry or elsewhere in the said County of Kent not herein before given and devised as aforesaid I do give and devise unto my said son RALPH PHILLPOTT his heirs and assigns forever. He my said son RALPH PHILLPOTT well and truly payeing unto my said son WILLIAM PHILLPOTT the sume of five hundred pounds and ten broad peeces of gold herein before given and bequeathed to him my said son WILLIAM PHILLPOTT as aforesaid.
Provided allways nevertheless and my will and meaning is that my said son WILLIAM PHILLPOTT and his assigns shall lawfully may have hold and enjoy the sole use and benefit of all the rooms of the messuages wherein I now dwell except the Kitching and Brewhouse and the Chamber over the Kitching and Brewhouse together with free liberty of ingress egress and regress for him my said son WILLIAM PHILLPOTT and his assigns into and from all and onely the said Rooms for layeing securing carryeing and recarryeing all or any of the goods moveables and householdstuffe hereinbefore given to him my said son WILLIAM PHILLPOTT aforesaid and for any other use whatsoever together with full use and possession of all the keys belonging to the said rooms for the space of twelve months next after my decease. Any things before in this my will contained to the contrary thereof in anywise notwithstanding.
And lastly I do hereby will and appoint that all my deeds writings evidences and papers which I shall leave in my house or elsewhere at the tyme of my decease shall within one month after the Day of my Death be carefully inspected and prised and that such of my said deeds writeings and papers as any may? concern or relate to the tytles or any part of the Lands hereinbefore given and devised to my said son WILLIAM PHILLPOTT shall be immediately delivered to him my said son and that all the rest of my said Deeds writeings evidences and papers shall be delivered to and remain in the hands of my said son and Executor RALPH PHILLPOTT for his security guide and advantage both of and in the reall and personall estate hereby given and devised unto him my said son RALPH PHILLPOTT in manner aforesaid.
In Witness whereof I the said RALPH PHILPOTT the Elder to this my last Will and Testament in three
sheetes of paper contained and to each sheete thereof my hand and seale hand sett and putt dates the day and
yeare first above written RALPH PHILLPOTT sealed signed was published and declared to be the last Will
and Testament of the said RALPH PHILLPOTT the elder the said one and twentieth day of December anno
