First I give and bequeath unto Mary my beloved Wife all my whole Estate both real and personal Lands, Tenements, premises and appurtenances for and during the form of her natural life for and toward the bring up and Education of my four daughters and one son
But and if shall so happen the Reversion of my real Estate and the income of the Brewhouse which I now use, be not Sufficient for the maintenance of my said wife and family whilst my Children be in their minority and not capable in getting of their livings Then my will and mind is that it shall and may be lawful and for my wife for to mortgage or sell all or so much of my real estate as shall may be for the majority and for the necessity and necessary Relief and maintenance of my said wife and children and for no other use or uses
and further my will and mind is that what of my real estate and personal estate shall be left together with what improvement my said wife shall make of the same after her decease shall be equally divided between such of my Children as shall be then living male and female share and share alike
and whereas my said real Estate is made chargeable by Indenture under my hand and seal for the payment of Sixty pounds of good and lawful money of Great Britain to be paid to Valentine Cockling of St Peter aforesaid and whereas twenty pounds is already paid, my will and mind is and I do hereby desire that my said wife shall pay the other forty pounds yet behind and unpaid on such days and times as is mentioned in the said Indenture for the payment of the same
and I do hereby likewise constitute make and ordain may my well beloved wife my only and Sole Executrix of this my last will and testament hereby willing and requiring her for to pay and defray all such just debts as I shall owe at the time of my decease and funeral charge and charge at Court in the proving of this my last will and testament
