In the Name of God Amen the fourth day of November in the yeare of our Lord One Thousand seven hundred and fourteen
I Daniel Picard of the parish of Sturry in the County of Kent being of perfect sound mind and perfect memory (thanks be to Almighty God therefore Doe make and Ordaine this my last Will and Testament in manner and forme following that is to say First and before all things I commend my Soule into the hands of Almighty God my Maker and Redeemer hopeing assuredly through the Merritts of Jesus Christ my Saviour to be made partaker of life everlasting And I commend my Body to the Earth from whence it came to be decently interred at the discretion of my Executrix hereafter named

Item I give and bequeath unto the Children of my Sister Lovewell deceased (vizt) to Elizabeth Lovewell Thomazin Lovewell and Robert Lovewell to each of them the summe of Fiftie pounds a peece
Also I give and bequeath unto Anne Moyes John Moyes Stephen Moyes and Elizabeth Moyes Children of my sister Anne Moyes deceased the summe of Fifty pounds a peece
when they shall severally attaine their Ages of One and Twenty yeares and to be paid by my Executrix into the hands of my loving Brother Mr Benjamin Picard and to the Reverend Mr John Crane Minister of Sturry in Kent within a Twelve month after my decease
and the principle and interest to be paid to them at their Ages of one and twenty yeares, and not before, and the said monys to be placed out upon good Securities as my Overseers shall approve of

Item I give and bequeath unto my loveing sister Margaret Kendall provided she be a Widow at the time of my death or a Widow at the death of my Executrix the summe of fifty pounds of lawfull mony of great Brittaine

Item I give to the poore People of the parish of Sturry that doe not receive Almes of the parish the summe of Tenn pounds of lawfull mony of greate Brittaine to be distributed by the Minister and Churchwardens of the said parish Tenn shillings a person to be paid them on the thirteenth day of March next after my decease

Item I give and bequeath unto my Aunt Anne Picard To my Aunt Mary Best To my sister Margaret Kendall To my sister Elizabeth Hall To my sister Mary Picard To my sister Mary Lawrence To my Brothers John Hall Robert Lovewell Stephen Moyes and to William Kendall to each and every of them the summe of Five pounds a peece to buy them mourning to be paid by my Executrix hereafter named

Item I give and bequeath unto my deare and loving Wife Anne Picard during her naturall life my house in the Minories in the parish of St Buttolph Aldgate in London knowne by the signe of the Bell All the terme of yeares of my said Lease unexpired and after her decease and after her decease to the eldest sonne of my loving Brother Benjamin Picard

and for want of such son Then I give the aforesaid Lease of my house in the Minories To the Minister and Churchwardens of the parish of Sturry in Trust for the poore for the time being the remainder of the Terme of the Lease unexpired and the rents that become due twice a yeare to be received by the Minister and Churchwardens they not exceeding two shillings a yeare for the Charges of receiving the Rents and remitting to the parish of Sturry and to be distributed by them to the poore sort of People of Sturry aforesaid the preference to be given to the most antient and to those who are least able to maintaine themselves and families not receiving Almes or any weakley Collections from the parish of Sturry aforesaid not exceeding Twenty poore people and to be paid halfe yearly vizt. on the Birth of our Lord Christ and on Easter Day which shall next happen after my Wives decease

Item I give unto my Wife Anne Picard the full two thirds part of my Personall Estate by Computation amounting to the sume of One Thousand and five hundred pounds and upwards to be paid her in one month after my decease
And it is my further Will and mind that in case it should please God by his Providence to reduce and lessen my personall estate soe that at the time of my death my personall Estate should not amount to One Thousand and five hundred pounds after my debts are paid and also my funerall charges defraid Then I doe order and Appoint that the seven first Legacies to my nephews and Neeces by this Will be reduced and brought to an Average in such Proportions that my Executrix shall have two Thirds out of my personall estate of the One Thousand and five hundred pounds after my debts and funerall charges are paid and discharged

Item I give and bequeath unto my loving Brother Benjamin Picard and my very good freind Mr John Crane Overseers of this my last Will and Testament and for their trouble I give them Tenn pounds apeece to buy them Mourning
and ordaine my dear and loving wife Anne Picard my full and sole Executrix of this my last Will and Testament
