Will of William Pike

of Woolwich, Kent

First I desire to be interred in the vault which I have built under the Wesleyan Chapel Mary Anns Buildings Deptford in the County of Kent aforesaid and where my late Wife, three of my sons and my daughter now lie And I direct that my funeral may be as nearly as possible in the same style and manner with that of my late Wife

Secondly as to such worldly goods as it hath pleased God to endow me with I dispose of them as follows
To Mrs Sarah Stone of Samuel Street Woolwich with whom I now reside in return for the unwearied kindness and attention which she has paid me in the several kindness and attention which she has paid me in the several sicknesses with which it has pleased God to afflict me I give all my household furniture china plate linen plate linen and pictures with the sum of thirty pounds over and above of good and lawful money of Great Britain to be paid to be paid her by my Executors (hereinafter named) out of my Personal Estate

Thirdly I give and bequeath to Miss Sarah Stone daughter of the above named Mrs Sarah Stone the sum of twenty pounds of good and lawful money of Great Britain to be paid as above out of my personal estate

Fourthly I give and bequeath the remainder of my personal estate consisting of such sum or sums of money as may be due and owing to me at the time of my decease on any Policy or Policies of Insurance from the Royal Exchange Life Insurance Office with such sum or sums of money as shall be standing in my name in the Three Per cents Consolidated Bank Annuities and any other sum or sums of money as shall be in my possession or owing to me in any way whatsoever at the time of my decease together with my wearing apparel and books after the payment of my several legacies hereinafter mentioned my just debts funeral expences and the expence of proving this my Will to my two Sons John and George Pike share and share alike

And Whereas I have heretofore lent my son George Pike the Sum of Two hundred and fifty pounds I hereby will that this Sum of Two hundred and fifty pounds be included as part of the share which he is to receive of my personal estate

And I do hereby nominate and appoint my said Son George Pike and Joseph Jacobs of High Street Woolwich hereby revoking and making void all former and other Wills and Testaments by me made I declare this and this only to be and contain my last Will and Testament

And I give and bequeath to my Executor Joseph Jacobs the sum of five pounds for the trouble he shall take in the execution of this my last Will and Testament
