I give to my late fellow Servant Elizabeth Hulford five pounds sterling
I give to my fellow servants Anne Sherman and James Dandy five pounds sterling each
I give my wearing apparel to my brother William Pitkin
I give my watch (given me by Mr Warne) to Mr Charles Sutton of Rotherhithe who
formerly lodged with my late brother James Pitkin
in token of my gratitude for their kindness
All the residue of my personal estate and effects I bequeath unto
Mr Thomas Lewin and Mr Henry Lewin (both of Eltham) to hold to them their
executors administrators and assigns upon trust to invest the same in some one
of the Public Funds of this Kingdom to accumulate at compound interest for the
term of the natural life of Richard Smith (employed at the Royal Arsenal at Woolwich)
After which the said residue together with the accumulated interest
and dividends shall be given to my lawfully begotten daughter Sarah Wife of the
aforesaid Richard Smith for her own sole and separate use
Provided nevertheless that the said Mr Thomas Lewin and Mr Henry Lewin shall & hereby are authorized to apply the whole or any part of the Annual interest dividends and profits arising from such monies so invested to the use of the said Sarah my daughter from time to time as they shall think proper instead of investing the same for the purpose of accumulation as before directed
But should the said Sarah my daughter die before the expiration of the natural life of Richard Smith aforesaid I hereby direct that the said residue with the accumulated interest dividends and profits to be given in equal portions to the children of my late Brothers Joseph and Joshua Pitkin their heirs executors administrators and assigns
And I hereby appoint Mr Thomas Lewin and Mr Henry Lewin aforesaid
Executors of this my last Will and Testament hereby revoking all former Wills
and Testaments by me at any time heretofore made Samuel Pitkin
