In the name of God Amen The First day of November in the yeare of our Lord one thousand six hundred Fifty and nine
I James Poss of Pluckley beeing sicke in body but of good and perfect mind and memory thankes be given unto Allmighty God I doe make and ordaine this my present Testimoney and last Will in manner & forme Followinge
First I bequeath my Soule in the hands of my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ by whose death and passion only I trust to be saved And my Body to be buried in Christian buriall

Item I give unto my daughter Martha the ...th Land and forty pounds in Money vesells?
Item I give unto my daughter Mary the hearse feild and threescore pounds in mony
the Money to be paid by my Executors
if either of these heires dye before the other they are to be one anothers heires If she dye before eighteene yeares old

Item I give unto my Sonne John the house and Lands where I live? and I give to him the Table and Stooles and forms and a dresser that stand in the .... and I give him my best Bedd besides

Its my mind and will to make my Wife Executor to make use of this Goods untill they come to age
If she live it is my mind that he should not have it till after his mothers decease
the Girles are to have theirs when they come to eighteene yeares old or at their day of marriage

It is my mind that my Executor doe paye in one yeare Forty shillings to the poore of Pluckley

This Will was proved at London before the Judges for probate of wills and granteing administracons the third day of May in the yeare of our Lord God one thousand six hundred and sixty By the oath of Joane Poss the Relict of the deceased and sole Executrix named in the said Will To whom was committed Administracon of all and singular the Goods Chattells and debts of the said deceased Shee being first sworn truly to Administer.
