In nomen dei amen That I James Pout of the parish of Ash next Sandwich in the County of Kent yeoman being in bodily sicknes yet in perphet remenbrance blessed be Allmighty god therefore make and ordaine this my last will and testament in mannerd and forme as foloweth this Seventeenth day of aprill Anno domino 1629
Item first I give and bequeth my Soule to allmyhtie God my creatuer and my bodie to be buried in the churchyard of Ash neeare to my predisesers

Item I give and bequeth all the lands that I have unto my Eldest Sonn James Pout at the age of on and twenty yeares
allso I give and bequeth unto my Elder Sonn James Pout fortie poundes of good and lafull English mony twentie thereof to be payd to him at the age of eighteene yeares and the other twentie to be payd to him at the age of on and twentie yeares

allso I give and bequeth unto my younger Sonn John Pout on hundred poundes of Lawfull mony to be payd to him at the age of on and twentie yeares
allso I give and bequeath unto Elizabeth Pout my dafter three score poundes of Lawfull mony to be payd to her ether at the day of her mariage or at the age of on and twentie yeares which commeth first

but if it plese god that if my Son James die without heieres that them my Son John Shall InJoi the land
also if it plese god that my Son James Pout doe die before he com to the age of eighteene yeares that then I give and bequeth twentie poundes of that fortie which I bequethed unto him unto my dafter Elizabeth and the other twentie unto Joan Pout my wife
allso If my Son John die wanting eshew of his bodie lafully begotten that then I bequeth my land unto my dafter Elizabeth and to her heieres for ever

allso unto Joan Pout my wife I give and bequeth all the rest of my goods unbequethed
also if it plese god that my Son John doe die before he com to the age of on and twentie yeares that then I bequeth fortie poundes of his portion unto my Son James and fortie poundes unto my dafter Elizabeth Pout and twentie poundes thereof to my wife Joan Pout
also if it plese god that my dafter Elizabeth die unmaried that then her portion shall be equally devided betwene my to sones and my wife twentie poundes a peece

I also ordaine and make my wife Joan Pout my full and hole Exetuer of this mie last of all will and testament
and I also ordaine and make my unckell Richard Saphry of Ash and Thomas Mennes gent of the Toune an port of Sandwich the overseeres of this my last will and testament.
