And as for and concerning my worldly Estate I give bequeath and dispose thereof as
followeth that is to say
All such Sum or Sumes of Money as now is or hereafter may
become due to me for my Service or the Service of my Servant on Board the said Ship
Guarland or any other of her Majestys Ships or Vessels whatsoever
As also all such Wages Sum and Sums of Money Lands Tenements Goods Chattells and Estate
whatsoever as shall be anyways due owing or belonging unto me (either by Law or
Equity) at the time of my Decease
I do give devise and bequeath the same unto my
dear and affectionate Wife Ann Pye of Deal in the County of Kent aforesaid and to
her heirs forever
And I do nominate and appoint my said Wife whole[?] and sole
Executrix of this my last Will and Testament thereby revoking all former and other
Wills or Testaments or Deeds of Gift by me at any time heretofore made[.] And I do
ordain and ratify these presents to stand and be for and as my last Will and
Testament[.] In Witness whereof to this my said Will I have set my Hand and Seal
this twenty Seventh day of June Anno Dni 1705 and in the ffourth Year of the Reign
of her Ma'tie Queen Ann over England etc. J. Pye. Sealed signed published and

The before registered Will of John Pye Late of Deal in the Diocese of Cantb deceased and Late belonging to his Majestys Ship the Guarland having etc Goods etc was proved the 12th Day of ffebruary 1734 before the Worshipfull Richard Chicheley Doctor of Laws Commissary General of the City and Diocese of Canterbury Lawfully deputed and Administration of the said deceaseds Goods so far as concern the said deceased and his Will was committed to Ann Pye the Relict of the said deceased and Executrix named in the said Will she being first sworn duly to administer the same
John Pye, son of John Pye and Mary Norman Pye, was baptised at St Leonard, the parish church of Deal, Kent, on 20 February 1675/6. He married Ann Weller, daughter of the late Tobias Weller, grocer, and Mary Culmer Weller St Ledger, on 2 October 1702. He was commissioned as a Lieutenant in the Royal Navy on 26 March 1703. John Pye died on 16 January 1734/5 and was buried at St Leonard in Deal on 18 January 1734/5.
