This is the last Will and Testament of me John Pye of Bredhurst in the County of Kent Farmer

I nominate and appoint
my brother William Pye of the Parish of Saint Margaret in the City of Rochester in the County of Kent Farmer
my friend Edward Jupp of Cuxton in the said in the County of Kent Yeoman

and my Wife Mary Ann Pye Executors and Executrix of this my Will

I give and devise unto my said Wife All the freehold Property of which I may die seised or to which I may be entitled at my decease to and for her own absolute use
I also give unto my said Wife any Portion of my household furniture plate linen china books pictures and wearing apparel she may choose to select for her own use

I direct my said Executors as soon as conveniently may be after my decease to make sale call in and convert into money such part of my estate and effects including my stock and crop on and about the farm which I now occupy at Bredhurst aforesaid as shall not consist of money (except the freehold Property and furniture devised and bequeathed as above unto my said Wife) and out of the Proceeds arising from such sale calling in and conversion as aforesaid including to be received from the National Provident Institution for an Insurance on my own life and of any money in my house at the time of my decease to pay all my just debts funeral and testamentary expences as aforesaid to invest the remainder in Government securities in the joint names of my Executors and Executrix and pay the dividends arising therefrom to my said Wife during her life for the support of herself and the maintenance and education of my daughter Emma Pye

And from and after the decease of my said Wife or in the event of my said Wife marrying again then from and after her marriage I direct the dividends arising from such investments as aforesaid shall be expended for and towards the education maintenance education and advancement in life of my said daughter until she attains the age of twenty one years then I direct the whole of my funded Property to be transferred to her for her own absolute use

And I do hereby declare that in case my said daughter Emma Pye shall die in the lifetime of my said Wife and under the age of twenty one Years then I give the whole of my said funded Property to my Wife absolutely

I revoke all former Wills and declare this to be my last Will and Testament
