This is the last Will and Testament of me Charles Quait of the parish of Crayford in the County of Kent Miller
first I will and direct that all my just debts Funeral and Testamentary expences to be paid and discharged with all convenient speed after my decease And as for such worldly Estate as it hath pleased God to bless me with I give and dispose thereof as follows (that is to say)

I give and divise all that my Freehold Messuage and Tenement together with the Ground thereunto belonging lying and being situate on Bexley Heath in the Parish of Crayford in the County of Kent and bounded on the North by Land and Premises belonging to Richard Simpson on the South by premises belonging to Richard Wallis on the East land belonging to Mr Mann and on the West the road leading from the Dover road to Erith unto and to the use of my six Children Charles, Richard, Jane, Frances, George and William
together with all my money and securities for money Goods Chattels and other my Personal Estate and whatsoever I may die possessed of
so long as they shall continue to agree and the four first mentioned of my children do support and maintain the two younger until they attain the age of seventeen years when they are to contribute to their own support

and I declare this my Will to be that when the youngest of my children shall have attained the age of twenty one years then the Freehold so left together with all other my personal Estate Goods and Chattles shall be sold and divided amongst my six children or the survivor or survivors of them equal share and share alike

But should any dispute arise between them with respect to the maintaining of my two younger Sons George & William and they discontinue so to do then & in that case I will and direct that my Freehold together with all other my personal Estate Goods and Chattles shall be immediately sold & the interest arising from the money the same may be sold for and not the Principal be applied towards the support of my two sons George and William until they attain the age of eighteen years when the principal shall then be divided between my six children herein named or the survivor or survivors of them equal shares share and share alike

And I further leave and bequeath unto my wife Ann Quait now living and being separated from me the sum of one shilling of the lawful money of Great Britain out of my personal Estate and no more to be paid her as soon after my decease as possible

and I do hereby nominate constitute & appoint Thomas Briggs Blacksmith of Bexley Heath together with George Ashdown of the same place to be my Executors of this my last Will & Testament and to take this my Estate upon Trust and to see this my Will fully executed

In Witness whereof I the said Charles Quait have hereunto set my hand and seal this sixteenth day of January in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty Charles Quait
