In the name of God Amen I John Raynalls of Apledoore in the County of Kent Blacksmith being sick and weake of Body But of sound and perfect Mind and memory praised be God Therefore being mindfull both of the Certainty of My death and the Uncertainty of the time thereof Therefore doe Make and ordayne this my Last will and Testament in manner and forme following
First and principally I will my soul to Almighty God who gave it hoping Assuredly through the only Meritts of the Lord Jesus Christ his blessed son my only Saviour to be Received into his everlasting Kingdom when this mortall Life shall have an End
And I will my body to the earth from whence it was taken to be decently Buryed at the dicretion of my Executrix hereafter Named and as touching the Worldly Estate the Lord in mercy hath been pleased to Endow me with I will and dispose Thereof as followeth

Item I give and bequeath unto John Messege and Susanna Messege and Nicholas Messege the summe of one shillinge apeice of Good and Lawfull money of Great Britaine to be paid unto them by my Executrix herein after named within three months next ensueing? after my decease.

Item I make and ordayne Mary Raynalls my loveing wife Whole and Sole Executrix of this my Last Will and Testament To Whome after my debts Legacies and funerall Expences are paid and discharged I Give and bequeath all my Goods Chattells and Estate whatsoever.

This is the Last Will and Testament of me the said John Raynalls By me made and personally declared whereby I make Void all former wills and Testaments by me heretofore made And only declare this to be my Last Will and Testament.

In Witness Whereof I have hereunto sett my hand and seale this Twenty Third day of September in the sixth yeare of the Reigne of our Sovereigne Lord George By the Grace of God of Great Britaine France and Ireland King Defender of the Faith &c Anno Dom 1719
