In the Name of God Amen I Robert Raynes of Maidstone in the County of Kent Farmer being in good Health of Body and of sound and disposing Mind Memory and Understanding (Praised be God for the same) but considering the Certainty of Death and the Uncertainty of the time when, Therefore Do this Twentieth day of February in the year of our Lord One Thousand seven hundred and seventy five make and ordain this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following (that is to say)

First and principally I commend my Soul into the hands of Almighty God my maker and Redemer hoping thro� the Merits Death and Passion of my blessed Lord and Saviour to have full and free pardon and forgiveness of all my sins and to inherit eternal Life
And my body I committ to the Earth to be decently buried at the discretion of my Executrix hereinafter named
And as to the Disposition of such Temporal Estate as it hath pleased Almighty God to bless me with I Give and Dispose thereof as follows

First I will and desire that all my just debts Funeral Expences and Probate of this my Will be first paid and discharged by my Executrix hereinafter named.
Item I give devise and bequeath unto my Dear and Loving Wife Mary All that one Moiety or half part (the whole in two equal parts to be divided) Of and in All that one Messuage or Tenement and Blacksmith�s Forge with the lands and appurt�s thereto belonging scituate lying and being in Linton in the County aforesaid and now in the Tenure or occupation of George Dann or of his assignes or undertenants To hold to my said Loving Mary and to her Heirs and assignes for ever.

Also I give and bequeath unto my said loving wife Mary All my personal Estate whatsoever and wheresoever and of what nature or kind soever to be freely used and enjoyed by her for her better support and Maintenance

And I do also make and ordain my said Loving wife Mary full and sole Executrix of this my last Will and Testament
And lastly I do hereby revoke and make void all former and other will and wills by me at any time heretofore made Declaring this and no other to be my only last Will and Testament

In Witness whereof I the said Robert Raynes the Testator to this my last Will and Testament contained in one sheet of paper have hereunto set my hand and seal the day and year first above written � Robert Raynes his mark � Signed sealed published and declared by the said Robert Raynes the Testator as and for his last Will and Testament in the presence of us who in his presence and at his request and in the presence of one another have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses

The before Registered Will of Robert Raynes deceased was proved the 12th day of November 1781 before ....
By the oath of Mary Raynes Widow the Relict and sole Executrix named in the said Will She being first Sworn well and truly to perform the same.
