In the name of god Amen The 23 daye of June in the yere of our Lord god one Thousand Six hundred and sixe
I Steeven Reader of the parishe of Bicknor in the dioces of Cantorburie of good and perffett Remembrance Thankes be to god doe make & ordayne this my last will and testament in manner and forme following
First I bequeth my soule to Almightie god my maker and Redeemer and my bodie to be buried in the churchyard of Bicknor afforesaid

Item I give unto John Reader my brother all my Landes and the pasture of the woodland for the terme of his Lyffe wythout strip or wast
And after the decease of the said John Reader my broother Then I will that all my Landes shall remaine unto John Reader my sonne and to his heires and Assignes forever

I give unto William Reader and Robart Reader my sonnes to everie of them fortie poundes of good and lawfull money of England to be payd in manner as foloweth by myne Executors
The first payment to William Reder my sonne to be made within 18 monthes after my decease being the som of �10 and within one whole yere after that other �10 and within one yere after that other �10 and within one yere after that other �10 residue of his �40 and my sonne Robart Reader shall receyve his first �10 when he shall come to the age of 24 yeres and so yerely �10 one yere after another till the �40 be payd.

Item I gyve unto Davy Reader my sonne 20s to be payd within one yere after my decease
Item I gyve unto Elizabeth Kennard my daughter 10s to be payd within one yere after my decease
Item I gyve unto An Reader my daughter �20 to be payd when she shall come to the age of 21 yeres

Provided that yf any of my children happen to decease before their partes or portions be due to be payd Then my will is that all such partes or portions of such deceased being given by this my will and not then due to be payd shall be equally devided among such of my children as shalbe then living at such tymes as is before mentioned in this my will

Item I will that yf John Reader my brother happen to goe from John Reader my sonne Then I will that John Reader my sonne shall paye to him the said John my brother yerely 20s during the naturall lyfe of the said John my brother

The Rest of all my moveable goodes unbequethed my dettes and legacies performed and payd I give unto John Reader my sonne whome with Jane my wiffe I make and ordayne myne Executors of this my Last will and testament

Item I will that Jean my wife shall have the occupation and use of the one halfe of all my moveable goodes given unto John Reder my sonne so long as shee shall remayne unmaried and yf shee happen to marie Then shee shall deliver all the same goodes unto John Reader my sonne and then he shall paye her 40s by the yere duryng her naturall Lyffe
