In the name of God Amen the Third day of August Anno dini 1667
I Henry Reade of Wickhambruex in the County of Kent Yeoman beinge well in body and sound and perfect minde and memory (God be praised) doe make and ordaine this my last will and Testam[en]t in manner followeing
First I comend my soule into the hands of Almighty God my gratious and mercifull Creator hopeinge to obtaine everlastinge Life through the precious death of my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ And my body to the earth to bee decently buried at the discretion of mine executrix hereafter named

Item I give unto my daughter Elizabeth wife of William Steddy and to my daughter Margaret wife of John Wells the Sume of Twoe shillinges a peece to be paid them within three monethes after my decease
Item I give unto my sonne James Reade the Sume of Twenty shillings to be paid him within six monethes after my decease
Item I give unto my daughter Mary the Sume of Thirty shillings of lawfull Englishe money to be paid to her within Six monethes after my decease
Item I give unto my daughter Sara Reade the sume of Twenty shillinges to be paid to her within Six monethes after my decease
Item I give unto my sonne Henry Reade the biggest Chest, one brasse pott and the sume of Twenty shillinges of like lawfull money of England to be paid to him within Six monethes after my decease

Item all the rest of my goods Chattles ready moneys and household stuffe (my debts and Legaveyes beeinge first (paid) I give and bequeath unto my loveinge wife Mary whome I make sole executrix of this my last will and testament

In Wittnes whereof I have hereunto sett my hand and seale the day and yeere above written

Probatum fuit: 2nd January 1667/8

Note: Henry Reade was buried at St. Andrew, Wickhambreaux, Kent on 6th December 1667.
