In the Name of God Amen this is the last Will and testament of me Thomas Relph of Padwell at Stone Street in the Parish of Seal in the County of Kent Yeoman being altho weak in body yet of Sound and perfect mind and memory but calling to mind the mortality of Man and the uncertain time of death Do make constitute and appoint this to be my last Will and testament in the manner and form as follows
First and principally I commend my Soul to Almighty God who gave it hoping through the Sufficiency of Christs Merits for a gracious receiption and Pardon at the Last day my body I will to the Earth to be decently buried by and at the discretion and direction of my Executors hereinafter named and appointed

and as for and concerning all such my Personal and Worldly Estate as I shall die possessed of after my just Funeral expences and Charge of Proving this my last Will being first duly paid which expences I desire to be paid out of the money that I now have out at use on Government Security I then give and dispose thereof as follows (that is to say)

I give devise and bequeath all that my Present Dwelling house with the Premises and all and every of the Appurtenances thereunto belonging called Padwell as aforesaid unto my Son George Relph of Stone Street for his Sole use benefit and disposal or to his heirs and Assigns for ever
I also give to my said Son George Relph out of my Funded Property the Sum of Fifty Pounds of good and lawful money of Great Britain for his Sole use and benefit
And I also give and bequeath to my said Son George Relph the Clock that now stands in my Kitchen in my said Dwelling house at Padwell

I give devise and bequeath all and every part of my Household Furniture Goods Chattels Utensils and Linen unto my Daughter Sarah Relph and my Son William Relph (both now living with me) for their own use and benefit to be equally divided share and Share alike

And I give devise and bequeath unto my two Sons namely George and William Relph all that my Farm at Darenth near Dartford in the County of Kent aforesaid called or known by the name of [BLANK] with all the Buildings thereon now in the occupation of my Son Thomas Relph with the Premises and with every Appurtenance thereunto belonging In trust to and for the Several uses Intents and purposes hereinafter mentioned and to and for no other use intent or purpose whatsoever that is to say

In trust as soon after my decease as Convenient may be to sell and dispose of my said Farm and Premises either by Public or Private Sale to the best bidder or bidders or to such Purchasor or Purchasors and for such a Sum of money as they my said trustees think most advantageous or can obtain for the same and the money arising therefrom to be divided in five equal parts
one fifth part thereof to be paid to my daughter Sarah Relph
one fifth part to my daughter Mildred Relph
one fifth part to my Son Thomas Relph
and the other two fifths to my Son William Relph

And I also give devise and bequeath unto three Sons and two daughters namely George Thomas William Sarah and Mildred Relph all the remainder of my Funded Property or moneys that I now or may have out at use with all Securities Bonds Bills Notes Dividends Interest and all other the residue or remainder of my Estate or what nature or kind soever or wheresoever that I am now entitled unto seized with or shall possessed with at the time of my decease equally to be divided between them Share and Share alike for their and each of their own benefit and disposal

And lastly I so hereby nominate constitute direct and appoint my said two Sons George and William Relph as joint Executors to this my last Will and testament hereby revoking and making void all other or former Wills by me at any time heretofore made declaring this present writing (of two Sheets of paper) contains my last and only Will and testament

In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and Seal (that is to say) my hand to the first Sheet and my hand and Seal to the Second and last Sheet of Paper this fifteenth day of October in the Year of our Lord Christ One thousand eighteen and fourteen

Signed Sealed Published and declared by the said Thomas Relph the testator to be his last Will and testament in the presence of us who at his request and in the presence of each other have Subscribed our names as Witnesses

Proved at London 26th April 1825 before the Worshipful John Daubeny Doctor of Laws & Surrogate by the oath of George Relph the Son the Surviving Executor to whom Admon was granted being first Sworn duly to administer.

Notes:
Thomas Relph was baptised 14 July 1734, Seal, Kent, son of George Relph and Margaret Cooper. He married Sarah Golding 3 February 1762, Sevenoaks. He was buried 14 March 1825, Seal, Kent aged 90 years.
Their children were: Sarah (1762-1838); George 1764-1846; Thomas (1767-1839); Ann (1769-1793); William (771-1824); and Mildred (1775-1820).
