In the name of God Amen I Elizabeth Reynolds of Maidstone in the County of Kent, widow being somewhat indisposed as to my bodily health, but of perfect and sound mind, memory and understanding (praised be Almighty God for the same), do this pr[e]sent twenty third Day of February in the Yeare of our Lord One Thousand seven hundred and five [1705/6], make and ordaine this my last Will and Testament in writing as followeth (To wit)
First and principally I comend my Soul into the Hands of Almighty God my Creator, hoping and assuredly trusting in and through the merits and intercession of my blessed Saviour and Redeemer Jesus Christ that I shall at the generall Resurreccon be retrieved into Everlasting Glory
Next, I comit my body to the Earth to be decently buried in Maidstone Church neare unto or in the Grave wherein my Father Mr. Thomas Woodward was laid, and as touching the disposicon of that small temporall Estate and worldly goods which Almighty (God) of his mercy hath bestowed upon me, I give, leave and distribute thereof as followeth (that is to say)

Inpri[mi]s I give and bequeath unto my Kinswomen Frances Tombes widow the Sume of Forty pounds;
To Diana Brook the wife of William Brook of Maidstone aforesaid, Bricklayer the Sume of Fifty pounds;
To Mrs. Mary Martin Widow the Sume of ten pounds;
To my Cozen Ann Tomlyn Spinster the sume of twenty pounds;
and to Elizabeth Whetland the Eldest daughter of Mr. Daniel Whetland the sume of ten pounds;
to my Cozen John Royse the like sume of ten pounds;
to be respectively paid to them within six months next after my decease

Item I further give to the said John Royce the Trunke in my own possession marked (EW) and all my goods and Linnen in his possession (excepting only my Bedsted there and three pair of sheets of my owne spining which I do hereby give and dispose of as followeth
(To wit) one pair of them to Anne Tomlyn before named, one other pair of them to the aforenamed Elizabeth Whetland
and the third paire thereof to Thomas Royse son of the said John Royse togeather with the aforesaid Bedsted
and to be delivered within one months time next after my decease

Item I give and bequeath to the aforenamed Frances Tomes, Diana Brook and Elizabeth Whetland and to each and every of them, twoe silver spoons, and to the said Anne Tomlyn one silver Cup to be respectively delivered within one months time next after my decease, if demanded of my Executrix

Item I further give to the said Thomas Royse my Bed and Bolster I usually lye upon with the Rugg and two blankets thereunto belonging, now in the dwelling house of the aforenamed William Brooke, to be delivered to the said Thomas Royse at his Age of one and twenty Yeares, if he shall then be living, but if it shall happen that the said Thomas do dye before such Age, then I give the same Bed, Bolster, Rugg and Blankets with the Bedsted before mentioned to his Father John Royse imediatly after the decease of the said Thomas Royse

Item I give and bequeath all my wearing apparell of all Sorts to and amongst Elizabeth the wife of the said John Royse, Elizabeth Whetland and Ann Tomlyn before named to be divided and distributed between them three within one months time next after my decease at the discrecon of my Executrix
Item I give Forty shillings to the poor people of Maidstone to be also distributed and paid at the like discrecon of my said Executrix

Item all the rest, residue and remainder of my goods, Chattells, householdstuffe, Ready Moneys, Bills, Bonds, Mortgages and other Securityes for moneyes, Debts, and all other my personall Estate and Substance whatsoever and wheresoever, not herein and hereby before given and bequeathed in manner as aforesaid, I hereby give and bequeath the Same unto the said Diana Brooke
whom I do hereby make, nominate and constitute to be my full and sole Executrix of this my last Will and Testament, hereby revoking and absolutely making void all former and other Willes by me heretofore made

In Witness whereof I the said Elizabeth Reynolds have hereunto set my hand and Seale the Day and Yeare First abovewritten

Signed, Sealed, published and declared to be the last Will and Testament and that it is the last Will and Testam[en]t of the said Elizabeth Reynolds in whose pr[e]sence we have subscribed our names as Witnesses
