In the name of God Amen The Eleaventh daye of Julye in the Yeare of our Lorde One Thousande Sixe Hundred Fortie and Twoe
I Lewes Rogers of Mouncton in the Isle of Thanett Parishe Clarke beeinge sicke and weake in Bodye, butt of good, and perfect memorye (I praise God therefore) doe ordeine, and make this my Last Will and Testamet in manner and forme followinge:
First I comende mye soule into the handes of Almightye God, hopinge to bee saved onelye by the meritts and mediation of Jesus Christ my Lorde
Item I comende my Bodye to the grounde to bee Buried at the discretion of my Executrixe heereafter named
As for my temporall goods and chattells wherewith God hath blessed mee

First I give and bequeath to my Lovinge daughter Sara the wife of John Cocke one greate chest standing at my Beddes feete, one small Brasen pap:? bequeathed to her formerlye by her Grandmother Longe
Item I give and bequeathe to Margarett my daughter the wyfe of Thomas Coppin the Table=Cupborde standinge in the Hall, and the bookes Locked up therein
Item I give and bequeath unto my daughter Mary the wyfe of Henrye Parker the Hanging Cuubborde in the Hall with the Bookes therein, which Bookes I will & bequeath to Henry Parker her sonne

Item I give and bequeath unto John Cocke my sonne in Lawe and to Henrye Parker, and to Thomas Coppin and to Stephen Hardinge mye sonne in Lawe, all my wearinge apparelle as well Linnen as Wollen, to be Equally divided Betweene them

Alsoe I give and bequeath to Elizabeth Hardinge my daughter in Lawe : One Bill of Thirtie shillinges due unto mee from John Philpott of the Parishe of St. Johns in the Isle of Thanett aforesaide
Alsoe I give and bequeath to the saide Elizabeth the Sume of Twentie Shillinges owinge and unjustlie deteyned from mee by William Culmer of Acholte [Acol] in the Island aforesaid Yeoman

Alsoe I give and bequeath to mye Beloved wyfe Amye Rogers and to Sara Kocke [Cocke] and to Margarett Coppin and to Marye Parker my daughters, all my Brasse, Pewter, Esy? then dessetts woodden vessells and such like, Implements belonging to housekeepinge to bee Equallye divided among them:

Allsoe I will and bequeathe unto the saide Amye mye wyfe A neue Fether=bedd A newe bolster, One Pillowe : One newe Coucrlid [Coverlid], Two of the Best Blancketts, And all the Sheetes in my House, Except One Payre of Sheetes which I will & bequeathe unto Sara Cocke : And one Payre to Margarett Coppin, and One Payre to Marye Parker My rest of mye Beddinge to bee Equallye divided among my Three daughters aforesaide

Item I give and bequeathe to Elizabeth Hardinge my daughter in a Large One Chest standinge under the Table in ye Chamber :
Item I give and bequeate to John Cocke and Thomas Copping and to Henrye Parker my sonnes in Lawe : Three Hundred of the Largest Pots about my house to bee Equallye divided betwixt them : And likewise I give and bequeathe to eache of them Eighteene calfe=beardes? a peece
Alloe I give and bequeathe to my neighbor Edward Adynes my blackedoublett, A payer of Brecches? A parcel of Stockings, and a Payer of Shooes

Item I give and bequeath to Amye Rogers my wyfe all such Sume or Sumes of money due unto mee from anye person or persons by waye of Accompts, Reckonings, arrears? of right belonging as well for my Clerkes=wages, as otherwise :
Except One Obligation of the sume of Tenne poundes, for the Rayment of Five poundes due unto mee from Thomas Rogers and Richard Tanner :
And One Bonde of Fower Pounds for the payment of Fortie shillinges due unto mee by Henry Quested and William Wattes,
and one Bill if Fortye shillinges Due unto mee from William Knocker of Ellington
Allsoe I give and bequeathe my Bible to my wellbeloved daughter Sara Cocke

All the rest of my Goodes and Chatells unbequeathed I give unto my beloved Wyfe, and Ordeine her the Sole Executrixe of this my Last will and Testament

Alsoe I will and bequeathe the Foresaide Five poundes in the handes of Thomas Rogers And the saide Fortie shillinges in the handes of William Knowler, and Fortie shillinges more in the handes of Henrye Quested : All which saide Sume of Nyne poundes I will & bequeathe to my Three sonnes in Lawe aforesaide to bee Equallye devided amobgst them

Provided allwayes that my said Executrixe shall and will well and truelye paye and discharge all such Sume and Sumes of moneye as I owe unto Marcke Ambrose of Mynster? Yeoman : and to Henrye Johnson of the Parishe of St. Laurence gent.
