In the name of God Amen The three & Twentieth daie of October in the year of our Lord God, One Thowsand Six hundred and Fiftie Eight
I John Rolf Of Newington next heath in the Countie of Kent p[re]sentlie being sick in Bodie but of good and perfect memorie (Thancks be to Allmightie God therefor) doe make constitute Ordaine and declare this my Last will and testament in manner & Forme following Revokeing and adnulling by theis p[re]sents All and everie testament and Testamts will and willes heretofore by me made and declared either by word or writeing And this to be taken onlie for my Last will and Testament and noe other
And first I give & Commit my Soule Unto Allmyghtye God my Saviour and Redeemer in whom & by the merits of Jesus Christ I trust and beleeve assuredlie to be saved And my bodie I Leave to returne to the earth from whence it came Hopeinge I shall at the Last Daie receive a joyfull Resurreccon In the mean time I Leave the same to be Orderlie and decantlie buried in the Churchyard of Newington aforesaid at the Discrecon of my Executor hereinafter named
And as touchyng the Disposeing of all such goods and Chattles whatsoever as by the good blessing of God I Doe enjoy I Doe I order give and dispose the Same in manner followinge that is to saie,

First I will that All those Debts and dueties as I owe in right or conscience to anie manner of person or persons whatsoever shalbe well and trulye contented and paid Or ordeined to be paid within Convenient Time after my Decease by my Executor hereinafter named.
Itm I Give and bequeath unto my Sister Margarie Hodgcock the summe of Five and Twentie pounds To be paid her within Six moneths after my decease.
Item I Give and bequeath to my Cozen Ellen Hodgcock Daughter of Sister Margerie the summe of Fiftie pounds To be paid her at the Age of One and twentie yeres. The interest thereof to be paid to her mother toward the bringing her Up to the age aforesaid.
And if she shall happen to die before the said age of One and Twentie yeres, Then I give and bequeath Twentie pounds to my Cosen James Hodgcock and Fifteene pounds to my Cosen Richard Hodgcock and Fifteene pounds to my Cosen Anne Hodgcock (Children to my Sister Ellen Hodgcock) at their severall Ages of One and Twentie yeres.

Item I give and bequeath to my Cosen William Rolf five pounds if he be alive and come to demand it him self.
Item I give unto Marie Hodgcock Daughter to my brother Henrie Hodgcock late deceased the summe of three pounds To be paid her within Six moneths after my decease Provided That she shall carrie herself respectiblie to her mother in Lawe.
Itm I Give and bequeath to my Sister Ellen Hodgcock the summe of tenne pounds To be paid her within Six monethes after my decease.

All the rest and residue of my goods and Chattles whatsoever, my debts Legacies and funerall Expences being paid and Discharged I Give and bequeath unto my Sister Ellen Hodgcocks Three children James Richard and Anne aforesaid equallie to be divided betweene them at their severall and respective Ages of one and Twenty yeres
And in case either of my three Cosens James Richard and Anne aforesaid shall happen to die before they shall attaine to the severall Ages aforesaid Then I Give and bequeath the porcon or porcons of him or her soe dying to be equallie divided betweene the Survivors of them.

And I Declare constitute and appoint James Brockman Esqr to be sole Executor of this my Last will and Testament to soe the same effectuallie performed according to my trust and Confidence in him reposed.

In witnes whereof I have hereunto set my hand and Seale my daie and yere first above written. John Rolfe.

Henrie Barnes Sarah Atkinson Ales Smith.

This Will was Proved at London The Ninth daie of Februarie A[] Dni One thowsand Six hundred Fiftie eight Before the Judges for probate of willes and grannting Administrations Lawfullie authorized By the oath of James Brockman Esqr the sole Executor named in the said will to whom was Committed Administracon of all and Singuler the goods Chattles and debts of the said deceased Hafeing first Legallie sworne trulie to Administer the same.
