In the Name of God Amen I Thomas Rolf of Plumstead in the County of Kent Tylemaker being weak in Body but of Sound Mind Memory and Understanding and for avoiding all controversies after my decease doe make and constitute this to be my Last Will and Testament
First I recomend my Soul to Almighty God my Creator hoping through the Merits of his Son my Saviour Jesus Christ to inherit life Eternal in the kingdom of Heaven My Body I commit to the Earth to be decently buried at the discretion of my Executors hereinafter named and as touching all my Worldly Estate I Give and dispose thereof as followeth

Imprimis I give and Bequeath to my Daughter Mary Smith the Wife of Richard Smith the Sume of Forty pounds of lawfull money of Great Britain to be paid her within One Year after my decease
And I give to her three Children Henry Sarah and Martha Smith the Sume of Ten pounds a piece of the like lawfull money to be paid them likewise within one year after my Decease
Item I give and Bequeath to my Daughter Sarah Roberts Widow the Sume of Forty pounds of the like lawfull moneys to be paid her within One year after my decease
And I give to her four Children Sarah Samuel Robert and Thomas Roberts Ten pounds a peice to be paid them within one year after my Decease

Item I give and bequeath to my Daughter Anne Knight the Wife of Francis Knight the Sume of Forty pounds of the like lawfull money to be paid her within One Yeare after my decease
Item I give and bequeath to my Daughter Elizabeth Garrett the Wife of John Garrett the Sume of Forty pounds of the like lawfull money to be paid her within one year after My Decease
and I give to her Daughter Anne Garrett the Sume of Ten pounds to be paid her within one year after my Decease
Item my Daughter Elizabeth Garrett being at the makeing of this my Will and Testament in all appearance with child my mind and Will is And I Give and Bequeath to the Child that she now goeth with at the makeing of this my Will and Testament the Sume of Ten pounds lett it be Male or Female to be paid it within One Year after my Decease
Item that is provided the aforesaid Child Doth live
Item my Will and Meaning is that the Severall Legacys of Ten pounds before given to each of my Grandchildren Shall be paid them Respectively within the time above mentioned notwithstanding any of their Minoritys

Item I give and bequeaths unto my Grandson Robert Rolfe the Sume of Fifty pounds of the like lawfull Moneys to be put out to Interest and I Will that the Interest shall be paid of the Same unto Mary Rolf the Mother of my said Grandson for and towards his maintenance and Education untill he shall be put out Apprentice And I Will that Ten pounds or part of his Respective Legacy Shall be paid him for his binding himself out Apprentice and when he hath so bound himself Then my Mind is that the Remaing part of his Respective Legacy shall be put out to Interest and to be paid to him Respectively when he shall attain to the Respective Age of One and Twenty Years
but if it shall happen that he shall Dye before the Age of One and Twenty years (if bound out as aforesaid) In Such case I Give the Same or aforesaid Legacy or what Shall remain thereof (if bound out as aforesaid) and all the Interest of the Same to my aforesaid four Daughters equally to be divided amongst them Share and Share alike

Item I Give and Devise All my Messuages Land Tenements and Hereditaments whatsoever Scituate Lying and being within the Parish of Plumstead in the County of Kent and All and every the Term or Terms Number and Numbers of Years which I have therein and every part thereof Yet to come and unexpired and all my Right Title and Interest in the same and every part thereof unto my said four Daughters Mary Smith Sara Roberts Anne Knight and Elizabeth Garrett their Executors Administrators and Assignes equally

But as touching such Estate or Interest of in or to my Messuages Lands Tenements or Hereditaments or any part thereof which I have any wise before Given and Devised to my Said Daughter Elizabeth Garrett my Express Will and Mind is that her Husband John Garrett Shall not have any Right Title Interest or property of in or to the Same Messuage Lands Tenement or Hereditaments or of any part or parcell thereof nor Shall not the Same or any part therof be lyable to or the payment of any of his Debts It being the full Intent and Meaning of me that the same Shall be and remain unto my said Daughter Elizabeth as her Seperate Estate and for her own personall maintenance in all Respects as if Sole and not under Coverture any thing in this my Will before contained Notwithstanding

Item I Give and bequeath to my Nephew William Rolf the sume five pounds
Item I Give and Bequeath to Mary Rolf the Widow of my Son Robert Rolf the Sume of One pound One Shilling
Item I Give and Bequeath unto my Loving Friend Thomas Harrison of Woollwich Ropemaker the Sume of Ten Shillings and Six pence
Item I Give and Bequeath to my loving friend Nathaniel Rook of Plumstead in the aforesaid County of Kent Yeoman the Sume of Ten Shillings and Six
Item I Give and Bequeath to the poor Inhabitants of the parish of Plumstead in the County aforesaid the Summe of two pounds to be laid out in bread and to be Distributed amongst them at Such times and in such quantitys as my Executors shall think fitt not Exceeding Two Years after my Decease

Item I Give and Bequeath All the Overpluse Residue and remainder of my Goods Chattells and Estate whatsoever and wheresoever the Same be unto my Said four Daughters Mary Smith Sarah Roberts Anne Knight and Elizabeth Garrett Equally to be Divided amongst them share and Share alike

And I hereby make and constitute the aforesaid Thomas Harrison of Woollwich Ropemaker and the aforenamed Nathaniel Rook of Plumstead in the county Kent Yeoman to be Executors of this my last [Will] and testament and I do hereby revoke all former Wills and Testaments by me made

In Witnes whereof I have to this my Last Will and Testament contained in three Sheets of Paper Sett my hand to every Sheet of the Said three Sheets of paper and Seale to the Last Sheet thereof the Tenth day of January in the Twelfth Year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord George by the Grace of God of Great Britain France and Ireland King fidei defender Anno Domini 1725[/26].

Signed and Sealed by the Testator being of sound Memory Mind and Understanding in the presence of Us who hath hereunto Sett our hands as Witnesses to the Sealing and delivery of the Same
