In the Name God Amen I Catherine Rolfe of the Town of Folkstone in the County of Kent Widow being in good health of Body and of Sound and of Sound and perfect mind and Memory do make my last Will and Testament in manner following that is to say
Imprimis I Comend my Soul into the hands of Almighty God my Mercifull Father hoping to attain Everlasting Life through the Pretious and Meritorous death and Sufferings of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ and my Body I Commit to the Earth to be decently buried at the discretion of my Executrixes hereafter named and as for touching and concerning my Worldly Estate I give and dispose thereof as follloweth

Item I give and devise unto my three daughters Elizabeth Rolfe Ann Rolfe and Susanna Rolfe all that my Farm together with the Outhouses Barn Stable and Buildings thereto belonging and all and every the Pieces or parcels of Land now used or occupyed with the same or with the same now or heretofore usually Letten occupyed or enjoyed situate lying and being at a Certain Place Commonly called, or known by the Name of Feildling Between the parish of Hawkinge in the County aforesaid and the Uphill of Folkstone aforesaid which said Farm and Lands Contain by Estimation Seventy acres more or less and is now in the Tenure of occupation of one William Elenden his assignee or assigns To have and to hold the same unto my said three daughters Elizabeth Rolfe Ann Rolfe and Susanna Rolfe to be equally divided between them and their Heirs forever they to take as Tenants in Common and not as joint Tenants

Item I give and devise unto my said three daughters Elizabeth Rolfe Ann Rolfe and Susanna Rolfe one other Farm scituate lying and being in the Parish of Cheriton in the said County of Kent together with all and every the Outhouses Barn Stabls Buildings Lands Premisses and appurtenances thereunto belonging which said last mentioned Farm together with the Land Premisses and appurtenances thereunto belonging is now in the Tenure or occupation of George Marsh his assignee or assigns and Commonly called or known by the name of the Bank House To have and to hold the same unto my said three daughters Elizabeth Rolfe Ann Rolfe and Susanna Rolfe to be equally divided between them and their Heirs forever they to take as Tenants in Comon and not as Joint Tenants

Item I give and devise unto my said three daughters Elizabeth Rolfe Ann Rolfe and Susanna Rolfe all those my Several Pieces or Parcels of Fresh Marsh Land situate lying and being in the Parish of Saint Marys in Romney Marsh and all other my Lands situate lying and being in Romney Marsh in the County aforesaid and now in the Tenure of occupation of William Rolfe his assignee or assigns To have and to hold the same unto my said three daughters Elizabeth Rolfe Ann Rolfe and Susanna Rolfe to be equally divided between them and their Heirs forever they to take as Tenants in Common and not as Joynt Tenants

but if my said daughter Susanna Rolfe should dye before she should obtain the age of one and Twenty Years then I give and devise her part of the above mentioned Farms Lands and premises to my said two daughters Elizabeth Rolfe and Ann Rolfe equally to be divided between them share and share alike they to take as Tenants in Common and not as Joynt Tenants

Item I give to my two Grandchildren William Marsh and Elizabeth Marsh the Sum of one hundred Pounds apiece to be paid to them when they shall respectively attain their ages of one and Twenty Years
and I do hereby Charge and make liable the said two Farms now in the occupation of William Elenden and George Marsh with the Outhouses Barns Stables Buildings Lands and Premisses thereunto belonging for the true payment thereof

Item I give devise and bequeath unto my said three daughters Elizabeth Rolfe Ann Rolfe and Susanna Rolfe equally to be divided between them all and every my Household Goods Plate Linnen Wollen Wearing Apparell ready Money Rings and all my other Moveables whatsoever and wheresoever
but I do hereby desire and require that my Son William Rolfe shall use and occupy my said Land in Romney Marsh now in his occupation as long as he shall think Proper he paying as much Rent as any other person shall give for the same and not otherwise

and Lastly I do hereby make nominate Constitute and appoint my said three daughters Elizabeth Rolfe Ann Rolfe and Susanna Rolfe Executrixes of this my last Will and Testament hereby revoking and disannulling all former and other Wills by me heretofore made and do declare this to be my last Will and Testament

In Witness whereof I the said Catherine Rolfe the Testatrix to this my last Will and Testament contained three Sheets of Paper to the two first thereof have Sett my hand and to the last thereof my Hand and Seal this fifth day of March in the Seventeenth Year of the Reign of Sovereign Lord George the Second by the Grace of God of Great Britain France and Ireland King Defender of the faith and so forth and in the Year of our Lord one thousand Seven hundred and Forty three

Signed Sealed Published and declared by the said Catherine Rolfe the Testatrix as and for her last Will and Testament in the presence of us who at her request and in her presence have subscribed our names as Witnesses hereunto

This Will was proved at London before the Worshipful Robert Chapman Doctor of Laws Surrogate of the Right Worshipful John Bettesworth also Doctor of Laws Master Keeper or Commissary of the Prerogative Court of Canterbury lawfully Constituted the Twenty Sixth day of February in the year of our Lord one thousand Seven hundred and forty Seven by the Oath of Elizabeth Rolfe Spinster one of the Surviving Executrixes named in the said Will to whom administration was granted of all and Singular the Goods Chattells and Creditts of the said deceased being first Sworn duly to administer
Susannah Rolfe Spinster the other Surviving Executrix first renouncing.
