In the Name of God Amen I Richard Rose of Hever in the Countie of Kent yeoman do make this my last Will and Testament in manner and forme following.
First I bequeath my Soule to Almightie God my maker hoping to be saved by the Meritts of Jesus Christ my Redeemer and by no other means.
And my desire is to be buried nere to my father in the Parish of Withiam in the Countie of Sussex.
And I give to the poore of the same Parish fortie shillinges to be distributed amongst them upon the Daye of my Buriall there.
Item I give unto the poore of the Parish of Hever in token of my good will towards them fortie shillings to be paied unto them within one monethe after my decease.

Item I give unto my Brother George his twoe sonnes fortie shillinges apeece to be delivered unto them to theire use within one yere after my decease
Item I give unto his daughter twentie shillinges to be payed as aforesaid.
Item I give to my Brother William Standford fiftie shillinges to be paied unto him within twoe yeres after my decease.
Item I give unto my Sister Anne Standford five poundes of good and lawfull money to be payed unto her within one yere after my departure out of this life

Item I give to my Brother Gawyn his twoe sonnes John and William fower poundes of good and lawfull English money to be payed to theire use within one yere after my decease.
Item I give to my Sister Margaretts fower children thirteene shillinges fower pence apeece to be payed within a yere after my decease.
Item give unto my Cosen Anne Showbridge twentie shillinges to be payed within halfe a yere after my departure out of this life.

My debts payed and legaceys fulfilled my funerall expenses discharged the rest of my goodes unbequeathed I give unto my loving Wife Johane Rose whome I make the sole Executrix of this my last Will.

And I ordayne Overseers of the same my loving Brother George Stanford and my faithfull friend Mr. Edmond Balam in whome I have a sure trust reposed that they will see this my last Will trulie performed.
