In the Name of God Amen I John Russell of Sandhurst in the County of Kent, Yeoman being infirm in body but of sound & p[er]fect mind & memory (Thankes bee geven to God Therefore) & Twentieth day of March in the Fifth year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord & Lady William & Mary (by the grace of God) of England, Scotland, Frannce & Ireland, King, & Queen, Defenders of the faith etc. Anno Dini 1693, make & ordaine this my last will & Testament manner & forme following (That is to say)
In the first place, I recomend my soule into the hands of Allmighty God who gave it me & my body I have for return to the Earth from whence it came to receive a decent fun[e]rall at the discrecon of my Executors hereinafter named And as touching the disposicon of such Estate as it hath pleased God blesse mee with in this World I do dispose of the same as followeth

Inprimis I give & bequeath unto Anne my Loving wife one bed that I now lye in with the bedding & things thereunto belonging & ....ledring To bee Imediately delivered unto her after my decease by my Exerts [Executors] hereafter named
Item I give & bequeath unto the said Anne my Loving wife Ten pounds of lawfull money of England, To bee paid unto her by my Exectrs hereafter named within Three months next after my decease

Item I give & devise unto John & Richard Russell my two sonness & unto Margarett the wife of John Robson & unto Elizabeth the wife of Richard Holman my two daughters .... shillings a peece To bee paid unto them by my Exectrs hereafter named Att six yeares end next after my decease

Item I give & bequeath unto Elizabeth Goreton Widow one gold ring yt [that] I now weare upon my finger to bee delivered unto her Imediatley after my decease by my Exectrs hereafter named

All the rest & residue of my goods, chattles, debts & bonds whatsoever my debts, Legacies & funerall expences & pbat [probate] of this my Will being first paid I give & devise unto my sonne Thomas Russell & daughter Mary Russell equally to bee divided amongst them at six yeares end next after my decease

And I herebby make & ordaine my Loving Brother William Russell of Maidstone Fishmonger & my said sonne Thomas Russell Exerts of this my last Will & testament revoking all other wills by mee heretofore made

In Witnes whreof I the said John Russell the Testator have to every sheet hereof being Two in number sett my hand & to the last of them my seale in the presence of those whose names are hereunder written
