Item I give and bequest unto Elizabeth Russell my granddaughter five pounds of good
money to be paid her age of one and twenty years or time of marriage.
Item it is my mind and will that if Margaret my loving wife shall give up
relinquish discharge unto my Executor all her rights, tithe, claim and
interest, of all and all manner of goods and Chatel that were her's before
our marriage and now in my custody that then under that condition aforesaid
I do give unto the said Margaret my wife the best bed in the Chamber over
the Parlour and all furniture thereunto belonging with one pair of sheets
and one pair of pillow coats to the bed aforesaid.
Item I give her also six pounds worth of housoll more? as two men shall prize it, such housoll as
she shall then have occasion for, or else six pounds in money, which she
pleaseth. I also give her two trunks, one marked with a P and a G and the
other marked with two P and those things to be delivered unto her by my
Executor within one month after my death.
Item I do give unto her also the dwelling in my now dwelling house three months after my death.
Item I did also give and bequest unto the said Margarett my wife the sum of twenty
pounds of good money to be paid her the one half within six weeks after my
death and the other half within three months after my death.
Item all the rest of my goods and chattels whatsoever I give and bequeath unto Joseph
Russell my only Son whom I make and ordain the whole and sole Executor of
this my last Will and Testament he paying my Debts and Legacies and Funeral
expenses. This is the last Will and Testament of me the said Joseph
Russell Senior in witness hereof I set my hand and Mark the day and year
first above mentioned. Signed sealed and declared? in the presence of
Phillip Goldsmith, Margery Goldsmith, Thomas Paine.
