In the name of god Amen the sixteenth day of September in the yeres of our Soveraigne Lord James of England France and Ireland the sixte and of Scotland the two and forteth Annoq Domini 1608
I Abraham Rutton of Sandwich in the Countie of Kent gentleman being sicke in body but of perfect remembrance thankes be given to god therefore do make and ordaine this my present testament and last Will in manner and forme following vizt
First I bequeath my Soule to Allmighty god my Creator & maker and to Jesus Christ my blessed Saviour and redeemer trusting assuredlie through his onelie mercy and by his mercies [&] merritts to enioy everlasting lyfe amongst his blessed Angells and .. in the Kingdome of heaven for ever more and my body to the earth from whence yt came to be buried at the discretion of my executors hearafter named

Item I gyve to Suzan my wyfe whom I have found a kinde & loveing yokefellowe unto me one yearlie rent or Annitye of xxli yeerlie to be paid at Lady day and Michaelmas by even porcions with power to distreyn for non payment thereof to holde and enioy the same for the terme of her lyfe in Augmentacion of her liveing

Item I will that my said wyfe shall receave the yssues rents and profitts of all and singuler my lands and Tenements and have the government of my sonne Abraham till his full age of one and twenty yeeres and she shall have and hold the said Lands and Tenements untill my sonnes said age to bringe him upp and my daughters and to the intent to make upp a porcion of fower hundred pounds for Suzan my daughter to be paid her at her day of marriage or adge of eighteen yeeres which shall first happen and an other porcion of fower hundred pounds for Sara my daughter to be paid her at her like age or day of marriage which shall first come
I give to the said Suzan my daughter fower hundred pounds and the said Sara fower hundred pounds to be paid at the tymes aforesaid if the rents and profitts of my lands and Tenements so to be received by my said wyfe untill the full age of my said sonne yf she shall by law receave the same in manner aforesaid
but yf she shall not by law be suffered to receave the same Then I will my said sonne shall pay my said daughters porcions owt of the profitts of my said lands and Tenements

Item I give to the said Suzan my wife and to the said Sara and Suzan my daughters all and singular my goods Chattalls Jewells plate and householdstuffe whatsoever equallie to be devided amongst them three
Item I give unto the said Abraham all my books whatsoever printed and written
I give to poore people of three parishes in Sandwich nyne pounds vizt three pounds to a parish to be paid at the discretion of myne Executors hereafter named

Item I give to my said sonne Abraham all and singuler my lands and Tenements Called Polder and all other my lands and Tenements within the parishes of Woodnesboroughe and Eastry to him and his heires for ever

Item I give to Suzan my daughter my Tenemente in Potters Streete in Sandwich in the occupacion of John Forney and to her heires for ever
Item I give to Sara my daughter my other Tenemente in the said Potters Streete to her and her heires for ever

Item I give and bequeath to the said Abraham my sonne all and singuler other my houses lands Tenements & hereditaments in Sandwich aforesaid or elswhere to him and his heires for ever uppon Condicion he shall pay or see my said daughters porcions payd at the dayes afore lymited

Item I do make the said Suzan my wyfe and my good frend Edmund Parbo sole executors of this present testament and last will desiring them to see this my wyll in every thing performed as they will answeare yt before Almightie god

Item I will that my Aunte Beane shall dwell in my house she is in rent free during her lyfe
and that Suzan my wyfe shall have and enioy my dwelling house wherein I now dwell during her sole and single lyfe keeping the reparacions
