     Lucretia Thomas was born on 1 August 1786 at Sevierville, Sevier, Tennessee.¹ She was the daughter of Isaac Thomas Sr. and Elizabeth Massengill.^1,2 Lucretia Thomas married Robert Wear on 30 December 1802 at Sevier County, Tennessee.¹ Lucretia Thomas died on 21 February 1830 at Riverbend Planta, Sevier, Tennessee, at age 43.¹ She was buried in February 1830 at Sevier County, Tennessee.¹

     Elizabeth (Betsey) Thomas was born on 26 November 1795 at Sevierville, Sevier, Tennessee.¹ She was the daughter of Isaac Thomas Sr. and Elizabeth Massengill.^1,2 Elizabeth (Betsey) Thomas married Jeremiah Ellis before 1811 at Sevierville, Sevier, Tennessee.¹ Elizabeth (Betsey) Thomas married John Portor on 31 July 1817 at Sevierville, Sevier, Tennessee.¹

     Ailsey (Elsie) Thomas was born on 15 April 1788 at Sevierville, Sevier, Tennessee.¹ She was the daughter of Isaac Thomas Sr. and Elizabeth Massengill.^2,3 Ailsey (Elsie) Thomas married Jonathan Eppler on 16 February 1805 at Sevierville, Sevier, Tennessee.¹ Ailsey (Elsie) Thomas died on 10 October 1836 at Dewitt County, Missouri, at age 48.¹ She was buried in October 1836 at Dewitt County, Missouri.¹

     Polly Thomas was born after 1798 at Sevierville, Sevier, Tennessee.¹ She was the daughter of Isaac Thomas Sr..²

     A. Timothy was born circa 1760 at Tennessee.¹ He married Elizabeth Massengill, daughter of Henry Lucas Massengill and Mary Cobb, between 1775 and 1780 at Tennessee.² A. Timothy died in 1782 at Tennessee Died in Military Service in the Indian Wars.¹

     Polly Ann Timothy was born on 28 April 1782 at Tennessee.¹ She was the daughter of A. Timothy and Elizabeth Massengill.¹ Polly Ann Timothy married Samuel Douthit circa 1800 at Tennessee.¹ Polly Ann Timothy died on 19 October 1839 at Loudon County, Tennessee, at age 57.¹ She was buried after 19 October 1839 at Douthit Cemetery, Coytee Community, Louden County, Tennessee, She is buried on a high hill overlooking the Tennessee River in the Coytee Community.¹

     Samuel Douthit was born circa 1780 at Tennessee.¹ He married Polly Ann Timothy, daughter of A. Timothy and Elizabeth Massengill, circa 1800 at Tennessee.¹

     Mary Roberts was born in 1791 at Caswell or Person County, North Carolina.³ She was the daughter of John Arthur Roberts and Nancy Hargis.³ Mary Roberts married Thomas Farrar circa 1810 at Georgia Maude Roberts Martin in her letter to T. S. Wilson spells Tom's surname as "Farrow."^3,2
     Her nickname was "Molly."⁴

     Zachariah Spires was born on 31 August 1794 at Lincoln Parish, Georgia.^1,2 He married Lavinia Roberts, daughter of John Arthur Roberts and Nancy Hargis, in 1817 at Lincoln Parish, Georgia.^1,2,3 Zachariah Spires died on 27 April 1866 at Lincoln Parish, Georgia, at age 71.²

     Haywood Roberts was born on 10 December 1804 at Lincoln Parish, Georgia.¹ He was the son of John Arthur Roberts and Nancy Hargis.¹ Haywood Roberts married Rhoda Bohler on 28 December 1828 at Lincoln County, Georgia.^2,1,3 Haywood Roberts died on 5 March 1863 at Bullock County, Georgia, at age 58.^2,1

     Rebecca Roberts was born in 1810 at Lincoln Parish, Georgia.¹ She was the daughter of John Arthur Roberts and Nancy Hargis.¹ Rebecca Roberts married John M. Eubanks on 3 December 1832 at Lincoln County, Georgia..³

     Wiley Jones Roberts was born on 27 February 1812 at Caswell County, North Carolina.^2,3 He was the son of John Arthur Roberts and Nancy Hargis.² Wiley Jones Roberts married Mary Ann Spires, daughter of Hezekiah Spires Jr. and Margaret McCorkle, on 8 May 1840 at Lincoln County, Georgia, Spelling of her name on her marriage licence is Squires? but the spellingof her name on estate records of her father is Spires. Her motherMargaret married Jesse H. Roberts (husbands brother) after Mary Ann'sfather died. Samual McCorkle was appointed Mary Ann's guardian (MinuteBook V 3/3/1823 in Lincoln County, Georgia court house) after her fatherdied. Jesse H. Roberts became her guardian sometimes before 1838 (AnnualReturn Book #4 1838-1847 page 193+260 1/23/1841 and 4/18/1842 in LincolnCounty, Georgia court house) because Samuel McCorkle was insolvent. Arecord dated February 1838 in Court of Ordinary Annual Returns Book C1831-1856 Monroe County, confirms Jesse as her guardian. On her gravemaker it states 'She has gone to her home in Heaven, and all herafflictions are over.¹ Wiley Jones Roberts died on 7 June 1893 at Blount, Monroe County, Georgia., at age 81.¹ He was buried after 7 June 1893 at Blount, Monroe County, Georgia..¹
     The following from family records as recorded by Carlos Elmo Roberts fromverbal information given to him by his father.

He enlisted in the Indian War in 1835 from which he drew a land pensionin Forsythe, Georgia. He also enlisted in the Civil War in 1864 as amilitiaman. He married Mary Ann Spires, daughter of William Spires andMargaret McCorkle Spires and whose mother also married Jesse H. Roberts,brother of Wiley. He and his wife Mary Ann moved from Lincoln County toMonroe County, Georgia where they lived until they died. He died athome, nine miles north of Forsythe, Georgia at the age of eighty. MaryAnn, the wife, lived a widow afterward until her death. She died at theold home and was buried at Paran Church Cemetery with her husband.

I believe that both he and his future wife Mary Ann Spires lived with hisbrother Jesse H. Roberts after both of their fathers died and Jessemarried Mary Ann's mother. They moved from Lincoln County, Georgia toMonroe County, Georgia sometimes between 1825 and 1830. Monroe County,1830/1840 census listed Jesse H. Roberts with children or young adultsthe ages of Wiley and Mary Ann. Wiley's middle name came from hismaternal grandmother Mary Jones.

On 12/31/1839 Wiley Roberts purchased about 100 acres (lot #148) inMonroe County, for $475. On 8/1/1889 he and his wife sold all or part ofthe land. The 1860/1870/1880 Monroe County, Georgia census listed him asa farmer living with his wife and children ages 6, 5, & 1. The value ofhis real estate $1000/500/? and the value of his personal estate $450.The 1850 census list his wife, three children and spells his nameRoberds. His oldest son is listed in the 1870 census but not the 1880Monroe County, census. He is listed in the 1853 Monroe County, TaxDigest owning 103 acres of land with a whole value of $1215. I could notfind his or his wife's will. He and his wife are buried in pa ranBaptist Church Cemetery, Blount, Monroe County, on Indian Springs Road atGeorgia 42. On his grave marker it states 'Mark the perfect man andbehold the upright for the end of that man is peace.¹' The census seems to indicate that Wiley and Mary Ann lived with his brother Jesse H. after the death of both of their fathers and in all likelihood Jesse married the mother of Mary Ann. They moved from Lincoln County, GA to Monroe County, GA sometimes between 1825 and 1830. Both the 1830 and the 1840 censuses listed Jesse H. Roberts with children or young adults the ages of Wiley and Marry Ann

A record dated Feb. 1838 in Court of Ordinary Annual Returns Book C 1831-1856 Monroe County confirms Jesse as her gardian.²
