     Inherited land and money from Alexander F. Hargis, but according to
his grandchildren, did not manage it well and wound up with little of
either.

portion of the Hargis land for a cemetery.

in consideration of the Sum of one Thousand and Two hundred and
Seventy five and 11/100 dollars to us in hand paid by
George C. Chambers and his promissory note for the sum of
One Thousand five hundred and thiry four and 89/100 dollars.
bearing even date and tenor with this deed the receipt whereof is
hereby acknowledged have bargained sold and conveyed and do by these
presents grant bargain sell and convey unto the said George C.
Chambers all that certain tract or parcel of land lying and being
situated in the county of Morris better known and discribed as
follows: To wit five hundred and sixty four (564) acres of land about
four (4) miles East from the town of Daingerfield being a part of the
Ed West Survey Beginning in W. K. Blantons N B line at a point 839

hundred (100) acre survey deeded to John Philips out of said West

privily and apart from her husband and having had the same fully
explained to her she the said Martha Hargiss acknowledged the same to
be her act and deed and declared to me she had willingly signed sealed
and delivered the same of her own free will and accord without fear or
compulsion on the part of her husband and that she wished not to
retract it.
