Apparently, some early researcher Identified Maria Magdalena Transue wife of Johan Abraham Transue as being born Maria Magdalena Lang, daughter of Elias Lang. The age listed on Maria Transue's grave is consistent with Maria Lang's birth year, but little else matches up. Elias Lang's will says that his daughter is married to Jacob Schneider. Another researcher has found the marriage record for this. Elias' will was from 1764, eight years after Maria Transue had her first child with Johan. Therefore, it is unlikely a second marriage but rather two completely different people.
