In searching the censuses for the various families in my tree,  I often run across other families with the same names.  These are included here.
Those in bold  are proven to be of my family. I've abbreviated the information available.  I just couldn't think of a way to include it here clearly.  "M" stands for "Males",  "f" stands for "Females"  Unless I  noted otherwise,  there is no other pertinent information included on the census.

After the Revolution, a Federal census was taken every ten years, starting with 1790. To date,  these censuses are all available for research up to and including 1920.  The 1930 census will become available soon.

In New York State, a census was taken in 1790, 1825, 1835, 1845, 1855, 1865, 1875, 1892, 1905, 1915 and 1925. The earlier censuses are missing.
